Just had to say

That I am feeling amazing right now! I just took a shower and I have been buzzing around my apartment all day today and besides some minor aches and pains I feel so good. I feel so motivated and can't wait to be 100% better. I am shocked at how I feel. I mean for God sakes I has surgery Monday morning. I thought that I was gonna be out like a light for at least a week. That is so not the case. If I can offer any advise for anyone who just got banded I would say don't push yourself, but believe in the power of healing and take that extra step because in the long run you'll recover faster. I remember Monday afternoon after my family came and visited, seeing them put me in a good mood and I actually asked the nurse if I could start walking. Everyone was shocked. Both my parents have had this done and they were like, wow you just broke our records. I mean Im sure a lot has to do with my age, but I also felt this surge of motivation and willingness. It can be so easy to fall into that sleepy feeling and not wanting to do anything and trust me, I felt a lot of that, but then after a while I tried to really work with the nurses to speed my recovery and Im so happy I did that. Ok well im done.. 2 blogs in one day.. I have lots of time on my hands as you can see. : )

That's awesome and I believe the same way. I also prayed and confessed over myself before and after surgery for rapid healing and recovery. It worked because 2 days later I was feeling GREAT, other people who had the surgery the same day or before are still complaining about pains, etc.. like I told my doctor, I'm doin' better than most it seems and I'm good with that :) lol

Good for you! Yes, getting up and walking a lot I think is the most important thing. I was doing great in the hospital, then got lazy when I got home cause nobody was telling me to walk. LOL When I got shooting pains in my shoulder a couple days later, I got my butt in gear and started walking 10 min on the treadmill every hour and everything got better really fast from there. :->
