  1. hazelbliss, I agree, and I think that was kind of the point. We can eat and make things palatable, but if we do, aren't we really cheating the band. But if that is the only way to get our proper Protein,is it really cheating?

    LOL!!
  3. You are definitely too tight if you can't even swallow water. But you might be swollen, as my surgeon recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after fills and unfills. But 10 pounds in a weekend is scarey! By the way, if I had a fill on Friday, I would not have been allowed to eat all weekend!

  9. LOL! Sorry for that, but made me grin, aren't they all alike! Mine is gone now, but she hardly ever had nice thing to say! God love her! I was warned by a sister-in-law who married into the family as I did, that the women of the family kind of ganged up against the outsiders! I have been married for 43 1/2 years and still feel it!

  16. Dear bandofhope, please see your bariatric doctor, as soon as you can, if you are having the same trouble as Kathy759. I, also, had the trouble, and my band had slipped. It is a dangerous situation. Good luck! Karen

  18. Congrats! And get rid of clown pants, or save them for Halloween!
  19. I am sorry for your loss. yes, I am aware that you can get esophageal cancer from too much acid and and GIRD, both of which you can get without lapband. but, yes, if a person is not careful, and keeps their band so tight that they do have a lot of GIRD they do have the chance of developing cancer of the esophagus, this was confirmed by my own surgeon. God bless you in your loss. Karen

I know what you mean, sometimes I just don't. It has been almost 4 years, so many people don't know that I have it, because I met them since I lost weight. Many don't remember the "fat" lady in the choir at church. I don't ever want to go back, so "yes" i do need it! Best wishes!
  21. Congratulations, sometimes it is all in the attitude, too! Keep it up calorie natzi.
  22. I take a magnesium capsule daily. If you can't swallow it, open it. It helps quickly. if you need quicker help, try a ladies stool softner. Best wishes.Karen
