  1. Woohoo!
  2. Some bands can never tolerate those foods. My band is fairly lose and I can't tolerate most salads, the lettuce does not go down easily. I can't eat chicken breast without something to make it less dry. I agree with Nana!
  3. That was pretty ignorant! Mine has never leaked in almost 4 years. I am glad to read that you are cancer free, Joanne M Holl!
  4. "Out of the mouth of babes"! Great NSV!
  5. Have only had a fill from the surgeon too! Bets wishes I hope that you find your green zone soon!
  6. God bless and yes, update us on her status! Thanks
  7. Congratulations, keep on going, you look great!
  8. Maybe you have a virus, or maybe you have a slip. Call your surgeon's office in the morning.
  9. I agree with Mis73 definitely see your primary care physician
  10. I am so sorry to hear of your friends passing. Great hugs for you and prayers for your friend and her family! We all know that surgery has its risks, but when you hear this, it brings reality too close to home!
  11. You can get a .1 or .2 cc unfill and makes a big difference! Bets wishes!
  12. I get a flu shot eery year, also. Getting sick, especially stomach virus or flu, is bad with the band. My surgeon even recommends an unfill if you are truly vomiting!
  13. My surgeon has us on 2 days clear liquid and 2 days full liquid after fills to help with swelling!
  14. Only when I have had enough and maybe decided to have one more bite! Last night I had hiccups, but not sure what caused them.
  15. Great post and NSV! love the quote "hot as fish grease"!
  16. Maybe increase your calories. 900-1100 sounds almost starvation for a male of your size. Best wishes to you!
  17. If it ain't broke, I wouldn't fix it! Sounds like you are doing great. My surgeon would not even suggest a fill if you are losing so consistently. Best wishes.Karen
  18. Congrats, love the picture of you in the single pants leg! You, also, look about 10 years younger. Woohoo! Happy Bandiversary to you
  19. The big book on Lapband!
  20. Nothing yet. Mine tilted, and made it hard for surgeon to access. He said was caused because was big and has not as much room now. Might need a smaller post! YIPES, more surgery!
  21. I agree with everyone. You need to get her butt to her Band surgeon's office ASAP. Don't wait for a week, go tomorrow,(unless its not to late today)! THIS IS LIFE THREATENING if she can't eat or drink. Best wishes. As stated by others 70 lbs since June is way too much. Karen
  22. What B-52 said!!! I agree, if I lay down to soon after eating, I too have regurgitation, and reflux. I, also, have discovered that I am allergic to milk products, so if I happen to have one, I will have the same reflux. I have had 2 slips, one of which required an adjustment. I hope that that is not your problem. It is a shame about your surgeon's office, I, always, see my surgeon. His PA only sees us if we need to have something done when he is not there.(he has several offices he covers). I have never had a fill or floroscope from anyone but him. I had an unfill by the PA once! Best wishes for your appointment. Karen
  23. I want the new Ninja, too! Have the old one, need to make due until it breaks. Miss Jean, I have never had the type of accidents you report. But, my dad had a story of back in the 40's when he and his cousin were making chicken in the pressure cooker and it exploded and hit the ceiling! My son blew up his pressure cooker when making soup, burnt his hand and got 3 degree burn. Me, I blew out my Hamilton Beach and bought my Ninja about a year ago.
  24. Learn not to chug. You won't or shouldn't chug after your surgery. I, also, had Chike, and found them good. If you are out, maybe you wan to buy some pre-made shakes as others have said. Try not to chug, as I said, you don't want to get in the habit for after surgery! Karen
