  1. I was told that I should have fill removed if I get stomach virus'. I think its best to not get stomach bug. Flu shot helps!
  2. Yup, can't do them either! I lov eto cook them for my grands and others, but not for me!
  3. What a awesome NSV! But you need to block him on your Facebook page if you already haven't. You neither need nor want a stalker on your Facebook or in your life! Best wishes, and as others have said, great revenge!
  4. Sounds like maybe a stomach virus but shouldn't be relay\ted to your fill. As Mis73 said, call your surgeon's office.
  5. I would never get through the day without my coffee to start out. There are studies both ways, good and bad. It is a stimulant for me, and tea does not do it! Best wishes, and try following doctors orders!
  6. Can't recommend anything, but welcome and best wishes.
  7. It does sound like you are already in the green zone. You definitely are losing fast. 3-4 lbs in a week is quite a lot. You stated that you are satisfied for 3 hours. SO I,personally, agree with your nutritionist, and would not recommend a fill. But I am NOT a doctor! Karen
  8. Happy crying is okay, and congrats on a NSV!!!
  9. Tell your anesthesiologist, I did, and they gave me something to prevent the vomiting! Best wishes, Karen
  10. woohoo! That is a great NSV if it is really a scale victory, too! Awesome!
  11. Thanks b-52! You are a great example of someone who has found his way and doesn't feel that he is a n expert except for his own band! Thanks for your 2cents, friend! Karen
  12. You are so right. However, before I got a fill, I ate a small piece of pizza, and then went into the bathroom, because it decided it did not want to be there!(pizza, that is), sorry to offend!
  13. Well said addrienne, and Joanne is right, if I don't like someone's blog, I either delete, or don't bother!
  14. Absolutely right Mis73. Mine was similar to yours.
  15. Best wishes! I did not have that problem with my last surgery, as I advised my anesthesiologist that I get nauseated from it, and he gave me a drip to prevent it.
  16. Isn't that funny, my daughter and I have told her my grand daughter that for years. She will want to eat, but she will really be thirsty! She still has trouble distinguishing the difference. I think that we, as adults have that problem, too! I think that I will go get myself a drink!
  17. Yes, as jean said, you must learn not to guzzle. Sip and small drinks are your friend. Guzzling is not! I agree, if you have not seen a nutritionist, see one who can advise you on eating for lapbanders. You probably spent way too much money to hurt your band and your health! Good luck. My 2 cents worth!
  18. Nice, big difference! Congrats on your losses!
  19. I, also, have gluten intolerance. I have, always, liked bread, but when I stayed away, I was "better". But, when I started to eat them again, I was like, I can't get enough! Anyway, I am not allergic, but my son has celiac and my grandson has allergies. So, we try to stay away from gluten. Now, there are plenty of alternatives. My opinion, I think that a lot of people with IBS, are gluten intolerant! Best wishes, I hope that you can feel better, soon!
  20. You are doing fantastic, just think, you are only 26 lbs from goal and it less than a year! , As you lose, it gets tougher to lose the last 25 lbs, I think! Best wishes, and it will happen. Karen
  21. Maryland, or Atlantic shore crabs are great! But, I only eat crab cakes. I am in Florida, and have not had a decent crab cake in 7 years, since moving from Maryland! Now, I hijacked the thread!
  22. I totally agree with all the comments, enjoy yourself, and don't stress it out!
