I actually keep prescription Zofran on me on all times, just in case. If you surgeon will agree to do the same, I'd highly recommend it. It's very useful to have on hand.

I have 2 school age kids so usually once a year or so someone brings home a stomach bug. Some years I am lucky and don't get it, some years I do. But this year I have the band and my surgeon has put the fear of god in me that we must never throw up (for fear of slippage). Do docs rx you zofran or something to help stop vommitting if you do get a stomach bug? I am going in for a check in tomorrow and will ask but just curious what other docs do.
*My doc is 10 minutes from my house so getting to him regularly is not an issue.
