  1. Thank you Bandista! I am SUPER busy with my kids...Hubby and I are about to take them to their Engineering/Space class at my husband's alma mater then other activities. My problem is that when we are running them here and there, it's easier to stop at a fast food and grab something. This weekend will be easier for me because I just had a fill and need to eat light. I'll be sure to go to Wegmans and get some healthy snacks. Thanks for all your advice, though!

  4. Thank you for your advice, Wendy! I'll be sure to start preparing tomorrow.
  5. Hello! I was banded on May 24th and I've lost 25 so far but recently I gained a few pounds back. I have a career that keeps me quite busy during the week but as soon as the weekend comes, all goes to the wind. Since I have two little ones at home, I find myself getting into their snacks or eating whatever I prepare for them. I'm frustrated right now and I'm praying this 3rd fill I had done today gives me some type of restriction because I haven't had any since my surgery. Any suggestions or advice?
  6. Manuela, I'm so glad you posted this because I felt alone. I've had two fills since May 24th and felt no restrictions! My surgeon started giving me Phentermine again and I was thinking, what is the purpose of me going through this whole process if I have to take pills again? I had a fill today with a new doctor and I'm praying this works. We can do this and I will continue to get on this site for encouragement. Good luck!

  8. I'm sorry to hear of your struggle but the best thing you have done for yourself is recognized it. Make tomorrow your first day and start from scratch. We all will fall down but you gotta get up! I started an Instagram page that helps keep me motivated with others who are going through this journey with me. I wish you the best!
  9. Congrats on your surgery! I was banded on 5/24 and the pain was awful but I have pushed through by walking every hour and the gas is almost gone. For my very sore throat, I drank green tea w/lemon and sucked on peppermints. I will say this, though, my tummy is growling like no other! Lol I have lost 10 pounds since Friday so I will be determined to stick with the meal plan.

  11. Hello Fellow Bandsters! I made it through surgery yesterday and I'm just glad I can move on to the next phase. Yesterday was pure misery for me because of the nausea and constant pain. I'm walking a little bit more which is helping the gas move all around. I'm so thankful my husband is jumping at my every move and being very supportive. I'm documenting everything on Instagram so follow me at losingdiva.
  12. Congrats on that letter, girl! Years ago when I wanted to have WLS my husband and mother were totally against it so I let it go. I was just banded yesterday and he couldn't be more supportive. Him and my mother have been here nursing me all the way. Give him time because now he sees how real it is, when u exercise include him...include him in the whole process. I wish u the best!

  24. Hello, Sunshine! I was looking for other Marylanders myself. I am sitting at the drs office now getting my last appt with the surgeon. I'm super excited but nervous. Have you had the surgery and if so, what has been your success?
