  1. You go girlie! The fun part for me was knowing that someone else was going to wear my pretty outfit and say"Aww, you look good girl!"
  2. fee139, I can answer for b-52. That is a "soft signal". It sounds like you are getting to know your band real good. Another "soft signal"is a small burp. So, best of luck at finding your sweet spot, it sounds like you are on your way!
  3. glad to hear that you are on the mend!
  4. Sorry for your loss, (((hugs))) to you! Stress, as others said, can cause your band to tighten. But, now that you have been having this problem and constantly vomiting, you are probably swollen too. Hopefully, your Monday appt will help you. Best wishes.
  5. I usually do a smoothy, too. But, I start with coffee. I have eaten breakfast; when I did, it was usually hot cereal. If you can't stomach that, then I would stick to a nice smoothy with protein and fruit added. PS: Fill in your profile. What is your bandiversary date? I will have been banded 4 years on Oct. 30. Karen
  6. I am too far north. My surgeon is Grossbard, he is in the Tampa area. I can't tell you his prices, because I have insurance and Medicare.
  7. Great story! But if they didn't hide out and get stuck, we would like to have them around too much! Sorry for your ordeal!
  8. Best wishes, don't get too tight, tho'!
  9. It is worth it! I lost 100 lbs and eat to live, not live to eat. i maintain and at 65 am happy and healthier than I was for 20 years. I lived a yoyo life, also. I was on blood pressure mends, cholesterol meds, others. I am off all meds except vitamins, now!
  10. I agree with b-52. I did not lose weight my 1st visit. I have never had these huge weightlosses that so many have in one month. I think that I lost 5 at the most. But, I lost 100 by my 1 1/2 years. I will celebrate my 4th year next week. It can happen for you, but you need to follow your surgeon's plan and not worry! Best wishes.
  11. Congrats, that is a huge NSV!
  12. So true, any thing over 5 cc for me is too tight. So, I have to control the old fashioned way! But, it is much easier when your band says, "no, you are not eating anymore."!
  13. One lady asked me if I was sick. I did not change my drivers license for 3 years, and when I pulled it out, people went WOW! I finally proudly changed it before my birthday! ( driving 100 miles round trip and gathering all the information for it was stopping me).
  14. Yes, my surgeon said walk as much as I like. But, no lifts, or other type of weights, and sit ups, etc for 6 weeks.
  15. When I went, there was at lest 20 people there. I have heard that some of the seminars are so full, that if you call within a week or so, they will have you come to the next one. I think that about 10 people is just right, tho'. Unlike the other people, my surgeon does lapbands. So, that was all that the attendees were there for!
  16. Mine said 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids. But that is my surgeon. Follow your surgeon's advice, that is what you paid for! Congrats on your great weightloss!
  17. Good for you, nice NSV! And I was always hitting Goodwill for their better racks. You can pick up some pretty nice things for low prices, good place while you lose. KAren.
  18. Me too Missy! If I splurge, I order the same. But, since staying away from ice cream and dairy, I stay away from fastfoods, now, too!
  19. I, usually, order off the appetizer menu or share with my hubby. Of course, being over 55, I can order senior, too! But no one questions. Also, anymore, no one questions asking for a box immediately, either. Stay away from milk shakes, if you can, BAD!!!
  20. Stay strong! You can do it. We have all gone through ":bandster hell". You should be soon time for you to move to mushies or at least full liquids . Much better when you move to full liquids. Best wishes.
  21. Welcome to the site! I hope that your dreams come true!

What will be, will be. I pray that they find a good home for 7 year old and her brother!
  23. Best wishes to you both!
