  6. Well this sounds wonderful! So glad you had fun!
  7. Best wishes, I am not sure how I feel about a primed band. I have heard about others who have been happy, but I think that a person needs to heal before a fill. That is my personal opinion, not medically trained!!!!
  8. s I am 4 years banded. I am down 102 lbs. I started at over 385, lost 20 before surgery and now weigh 283. My goal is somewhere below 240. My BMI now is only obese, not morbid obese. After surgery I went from 365 to 290 then back to 353. This year, I committed to following the rules and lost 70 lbs. My secret, eat real food. I usually start my day with
  9. Congrats to you on your 5 year anniversary 2goodDogs, and congarts on your weightloss.
  10. I find that if I want to eat chicken breast, if I eat it with sauce, such as chicken parm, it does get lubricated. I don't eat much of that, tho' because it is not worth it, as B-52 said. I usually eat, dark meat for chicken and fish, they are eaisier for my band to allow to pass.
  11. I don't visit other sites, I don't wan tto hear all aout how bad the lapband is. I love my band,(most of the time), but, sure, there aer complicatiosn, adn I have seen many people that have had gastric bypass, and had more complicatiosn than we do. So, don't visit those sites becaue they are lapband haters!(maybe they are just jealous of success)!
  12. I had home made jambalya, lastnight, and the rice was okay for me. And I bet you will have to wear mote clothes this winter than lst! I did, cold hits hard after being a bigger person and losing your extra "coat".
  13. Great NSV, you desrve all the fun and love you get!
  14. Woohoo! Looking good!
  15. I have a 10 cc band, and only 5 cc in it. It sounds like you are similar to me. You could try another 1/2 cc but, I was never able to stand that much. I was stuck a lot with more than 5, and had to have it removed twice when I tried to go over twice! Only you know your body! I don't want to be a "Dolly Downer". Best wishes, maybe others will be better help.
  16. Are you sick? My friend just died from, (whipsered) cancer!
  17. I think that you have already followed the above advice because you said you have an appt,so I will wish you luck. It does sound like kidneys, not gall bladder!
  18. happy 4 year, mine was Oct 30! You look marvelous!!!I never went for the plastic surgeries, but am jealous of you for sure! A whole new you; have you done double takes to make sure that was YOU in the mirror?
  19. You can do it! Best wishes, and congrats!
  20. Great I am happy for you, unfortunately, I was not so lucky. Band does take education, and I so agree with the ideas that you have to take charge! Eating, wherever you are, will always be the same! Best wishes to all newbies and others.
  21. Never followed it, but I agree with what the others says, vomiting can and will cause abuse of your lapband.
  22. Great NSV!!! You are working it! Vacation without gaining! woohoo!
