What Does It Feel Like?
After surgery, I felt a lot of gasand was tender to the site of my port. I once proped a box on my stomach(like we all probably did back before lpbnd) and thought I would pass out! But after healing, and being 4 years out, the only thing I feel is as B-52 stated the golfball size bump where my port is. It sticks out when I get chilly, in the pool, but who cares! It gives me comfort!!Best wishes, Karen

Feeling So Discouraged! No Restirction, Band Almost Full!
Hang in there, everyone is different. Full is not an optimal feeling, satified is what you should be pushing for. But, if your surgeon doesn't use fluoro, perhaps it would be a good thing to request to see how long it takes for food to pass through. Best wishes, hang in there! Karen

Needing A Jump Start
I am 65, I had my surgery at 61. I was 245, I lost 100 lbs, but over the last 2 years gained about 30 lbs. I am currently following my alorie count and excerise on myfitnesspal app on my phone. It really seems to be helping me be aware of my calorie intake. I was not very careful of slider foods and that will cause weight gain although you are not aware of eating muuch. My daughter, son, and I are our support group. By the way, my surgery was Oct 30, 2009, and I joined here in Nov 2009. You can send to me directly, if you wish. Exercise is important, too, get your daughter to join you, start with walks. that is about all I do, now. Best wishes. Karen

First Fill Today
No, it sounds just right to me! If surgeon was too aggressive you might not be able to swallow. So slow is better, at leaset for me! Just follow your surgeon's guidelines! Karen

Need Support Badly
Please come to us for support! Many of us only have online friends who understand! Even though I have family that have had lapband, I still feel the love from folks here, too! Please don't be discouraged! As other postes have said sometimes you just need to change soemthing, try to use the smaller forks, try cutting out carbs and fruits. Many ways to jump start your losses! Best wishes. Karen
