i love this site.... i feel like this is my special place. I can come her and be trueful about who i am and where i have been. My husband had see pics of people that im in Awww of, but he has no interest in coming here... Steph... we all give a flying flip about you....

so im going to be my normal Smart a$$ self and say..... you can find a study most anywhere that will back what ever one wants to believe. My view.... Children are what they grow up with. If the parents are over weight the child has a higher chance that he/she will be over weight too.... Only because they eat what we eat... if we as adults eat food that is unhealthy so will our children. My parents were not over weight when i grew up... because my mom or dad cooked a meal... We rarely ate out and hardly ever ate at Fast food places. My weight gain came in my late twenties and thirties... Why.. because i move to the city and started eating bad foods. Next time you go eat at a buffett.... Look around at the over weight people there... then look at their children... 90% will be over weight and so will their kids. I think the Food stamp program is another contributor.... It make it too easy to buy unhealthy food choices. Ever get behind a person at the grocery that's paying with Assistance..... it is horrifying ... basket full of candy, chip, Cookies... pre packaged food... tons of soda and ice cream... unhealthy foods... and this is what our youth of today has to chose from in their homes... Video games... another contributor to weight gain.... we NEVER stayed inside.... we were riding bikes, running... building forts... playing hide and seek...... Get the kids eating better by being a good example and make them go play out side.....

have you asked your doctor about starting a clothes swap. We did it among our selves... We posted on his wall what we had to give and people came and got them... Or if you go to support group.... ask to start one there... I also, shop ebay and Goodwill... when i was losing. Who wants to spend tons of money on clothes that will only fit for a short time.

Thought i would ask.... How many of you have LBT as your secret place? Meaning that you come here and talk to follow LB people and are able to speak your mind and not have to worry if someone you know will see..... I do... my hubby don't know about the site and i love it that way... i can come here and say what i want and not have to worry about what people that "know" me will think... Just curious Does your Husband/Wife know you come here...?

i got one every time i went to my doctor. When he asked are you getting hungry... i said yes every few hours... Now some days are better than others... but he was ok... fill time. At first he was not aggressive until i said... Hey doc... fill that puppy up. I still fill like i could eat the paint off the walls. He did get more aggressive after i reminded him i had the AP-Large band. He thought i had the small.... lol. So he got more aggressive and my weight loss did too. and the exercise got more. Any way.... i currently have 10.9 in my 14 cc band. Good luck too you.

Bri.... Those bites are way too big. when you cut the pieces should be no bigger than the nail bed on your pinky finger. Not the part that extends out over your finger... Good luck

Deff.. go see the doctor. I know when i had Gallbladder problems. It was before i got banded. My pain got worse and worse. I thought it was heartburn. My pain was mostly under my right breast, under the rib through to my back. I had finally had enough and went to the doctor after a horrible night. Had an ultra sound. I had four stones that were the same size and shape as Bouillon Cubes. My surg.. said, Only you Chris would have square stones. I said...Well you know i have to be different... lol Was out of work for just a few days... Very easy surgery

i have in the past put a small coating of peanut butter around it.... worked for me..

Well glad you have a great meeting with Dr. McDreamy... lol. You keep on the right track. Goes to show that every doctor is different. I also have not heard of three meals or less... But, if is works. Great question about the ginormous boobs..... lol If my ginormous boobs did cause problems... i think you will be ok. Mine were a 44H... So i know all about that... and they still are. I went down 8 inches but only lost one cup... I wish you all the best

my doctors office submitted everything as a packet with a surgery date.... i was approved within a few days.. But, keep in touch with insurance... it's what you pay them for...

Hey Jen..... Love your post and can relate to a lot of it. I also looked in the mirror and saw a pretty average looking woman. Growing up i was always a small kid. after my second son i lost all the weight i gain (a whole whopping 35lbs) So yes i delivered via section at 135lbs... omg... looking back now... i thought i was huge back then. Anyway, so that was section #2 and the final one. I would say that LB was not even in the same ball park. my LB surg was so pain free. Most uncomfortable for me was the gas pain after. I equate my TT as being the same as the Sections. LB was like the hysterectomy and the gallbladder surg. back to the subject... I too looked in the mirror and still thought i looked good, until i saw a picture and didn't recognize myself. I was horrified.....How, when, what did i do to my self. How and the hell did i go from 100lbs to 223lbs... it seemed like over night. So i had the LB done nov. of 09 and i have not looked back. The first few months were hard.. i won't lie. I was thinking that i would have the surg and whammm bammm .. i would wake up skinny. Surprise... nope didn't work that way. So i got my ass in the gym and started working out... and low and behold... the weight kept coming off...Slow, but it was going away. The first year i lost 60lb and the second 20.... i have been about the same for a while now.... i did put back a few since my hubby lost his job only because he is 6'4" and can eat anything... Ohhhh FYI: I too carry a lot of weight in my chest... I started at a 44H bra... and 80lbs later.... im only a 36G... So don't count on them all going away. if in the past you have lost in the boobs... then maybe there is hope for you. But every time i lost weight in the past... boobs always was the last too go... Go in with a positive out look, keep telling your self.... Self, i will do this... I will do this... I will do this..... And you will. All the best too you...

Jules.... please don't let the actions of one pea-brain a*****e determine your self worth. You have made a great decision to have WLS to get your health in order and become who you are destined to be. Jerks like that are a dime a dozen... Keep your chin held high, embrace every pound you have loss and every future pound you lose. Take care..

Wish we had some pics to see what your dealing with. Anyway, if it bad i would go see a PS. necks are one of the easiest to fix. Is it fat or just hanging skin? Most PS give free consults... call around and see.

Was up till 2:30am .... I eat this all the time and never any problems.... Now im sad. Stuck and it still feels like it around this morning... And NO i won't go in for an unfil... I will wait it out like any other time. waiting.... you story is partly why i don't have a reduction. I know what i have to deal with now, but i'm afraid of the unknown when it comes too the boobs. My friend had her's done and a tt at the same time... two weeks ago she had to go back in because the left boob was not falling due to some scaring issues...

Suz... your doctor is right about the concern. I never being a smoker could never understand the addiction of that... but most of my family are smokers and my dad just had a stroke Thursday. I worry all the time. My husband is a smoker too. And so is my youngest... i see all the damage is causes.... But then you have someone like my grand ma that is 88 and started smoking at 18 and has never quit or tried too.... and tells me all the time to f**k off... (she really does). It's where i get it from.... lol she is healthy and still gets around... i go play bingo with her most every Saturday. any who... it is a fact that smoking hinders the healing process.... This is the way i look at it for you... You have worked hard to finally get a body that you feel good about... Why cut it short by smoking... Enjoy your new self and embrace it all... be good too you, cause no one else will.... Good luck

sounds to me like she is jealous of you. Most people when the behave that way are just projecting how that feel about them selves on to other people. Im with Jenni...... but then again im a talk to your face and not behind your back type of girl. I most always tell the truth.. even though some people don't want to hear it.... in my defense . i always say.... ARE YOU SURE you want the truth..? I would do one of two things..... 1) if you are the type that can speak your mind with out letting your self get "talked Over"... then ask her for lunch and tell her what is bothering you. 2) if you are not, then write her a letter and express your love for her, but tell her how her actions are making you feel. Any way that's what i would do...... and by the way.... 63lbs.. i a great job.. be proud of what you have accomplished.

i have a great friend named Beanie.... i love her... Anywho, my surg didn't take BMI into concid .... the pre op diet was to help him in the surg with my liver to become more pliable But i was able to eat soup and pudding too. 750-1000, such a small amount of cals. Good luck with everything....

Bringing..... go with your gut... if it tells you to check around... do so... if not, do what you feel. My thoughts... No one ever regrets a second opinion. Are you able to talk with other patients? Go to support groups? I would check in to those things...

I have a shop that i go to in Baton Rouge and i love it... they fit me and even alter them for me. But when i want to buy something ..... Girly... i go her to this place. Only thing is ... you have to read what you are buying.
