Lap band or gallbladder problems?

Since having my lap band surgery two months ago I have been getting pain between my shoulder blades after eating. I also burp a lot after eating but it is a really deep belch. I thought it was from eating too much even though I do not yet feel restriction and really have not been over eating. I also still feel hungry sometimes even though I am having the pain. I do not remember having this issue prior to the band so I assumed it was band related. Now I have read that pain between the shoulder blades can be from gall bladder as well as the deep belching, has anyone else experienced these? Have you figured out what is causing your pain?

It could be either. Give your doctor a call and let him decide.

I told them about it at my appt last month and they said it could still be from swelling since I was 6 weeks out. I have an appt next week and will discuss it again. I was just wondering if anyone else had dealt with this. Thanks!

Deff.. go see the doctor. I know when i had Gallbladder problems. It was before i got banded. My pain got worse and worse. I thought it was heartburn. My pain was mostly under my right breast, under the rib through to my back. I had finally had enough and went to the doctor after a horrible night. Had an ultra sound. I had four stones that were the same size and shape as Bouillon Cubes. My surg.. said, Only you Chris would have square stones. I said...Well you know i have to be different... lol

Was out of work for just a few days... Very easy surgery

Better safe than sorry! Although, I hear when you have gallbladder issues the pain is pretty intense. You may just be getting used to your band or it could also be mispositioned. I'd definitely go to the doc for peace of mind.
