I am there with ya. Mine are unpredictable as well but when they hit I am so nasty I don't even want to be around myself. My bf has taken them in stride so far but I feel so bad because I have wanted to say some really mean things...I haven't but I have wanted to. Mine have mostly been angry or sad emotions or ticked off that he can still eat everything he wants and as much of it as he wants. I agree with Band_Groupie. Bandster Hell is wrecking havoc on me. I just keep telling myself to hang on...it will get better. Working out everyday seems to help to.
  2. I loved your blog today. I completely understand your frustration. I am just beginning my journey but I love VS underwear and lotions. Everytime I am in there they alway say we have some bras on sale and I say thanks but no thanks and they say we can do a fitting and I say you don't have anything that would fit me and she says sure we do, what size do you wear and I say 42DDD and she says Oh and then walks away. HAHAH!
  3. I didn't like the grape frost isopure. I seemed kinda thick to me. I dunno. Haven't had the 5 hour energy drink but I have a friend that swears by them. Let me know what you think.
  4. I loved your story too! It is great when you get these types of reaction. I hope when I am down 60 lbs I run into a few people!

    Good luck!
  6. Congrats! Good luck with surgery tomorrow!
  7. How exciting! Your surgery will be here before you know it. Dr. Swain knows what he is doing and is very good at it. I had a bit of a rough time. Not really sure why but perhaps it was the anethesia. I ended up being admitted to the hospital 2 days after surgery and then a second surgery 3 days after surgery because I had puked so much I had herniated some of my stomach over the band and I am NOT a puker. So if you are a puker make sure you tell them that and they will give you extra anti nausea meds. My stay in Murray hospital was fine. They took very good care of me. I hope I am not scaring you. My second surgery was a piece of cake and they say that is how it is for most patients the first time. The 4 others that got banded the same day as me all did fine. Oh and make sure you go buy some gas x strips. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  8. YAYYY!! You are on your way to being a new woman! Good luck with surgery and keep us posted.
  9. That is a fantastic way to look at that! Thanks for being so positive!!!
  10. Thanks! I am going to give it a try. I have been stalled for 3 weeks now. I sure hope it works...it would be nice to start losing again.
  11. I had the same experience. I got the thin crust from dominos and was like wow this really isn't that good. McDonalds is also that way with me but I think this is a good thing...actually I know it is a good thing!

I haven't seen how much my insurance in being billed but should get that any day now. I am curious to see because I have noticed they are billed a lot on other things like dr. visits.

  14. Hi guys! I am one month post op and I am down 23 lbs! Whoohoo! I was getting discouraged because I have been sitting at 22-23 lbs down for a couple of weeks now. Last night I had my mom measure me just like we did when I was pre-op and I am down 9.5 inches overall. That made me feel so much better. Hopefully my body will start letting go of a little more weight now. Have a great day guys and remember....WE CAN DO IT!!!!

  17. I finally felt a little restriction last night but I think I am still able to eat too much. I had a whole cup of "scrambled" ground round. I didn't think I should be able to hold all of that but I did. I am still full this morning. I am hopeful that I will feel restriction and not be hungry for at least a few more weeks. i don't go back to the doc until Feb 24.
  18. How are you doing? I am hungry but just got home from the grocery and am getting ready to cook some potato soup for supper.
  19. I am in the same boat. I had my first fill yesterday and I am also starving. I got 2cc's yesterday which my dr. said was typical. I was in the chat room last night and asked some experienced bandsters in there. They said I was hungry cuz it was liquids but when I get to eat that will be the true test on whether I feel any restriction at all. I don't get to eat until Sunday mushies and Monday reg foods. We can do this. Just gotta try to get our minds off the hunger. I am trying to drink a lot of water

Well, I had my first fill today. It was no biggie. I thought I would freak when I had to stand up and drink with the needle in my stomach but it really didn't bother me. I ended up getting 2 cc's. I am nervous and anxious to see how the next few days go. I have only had water so far but I plan on having a protein shake here in a bit. Anybody have any fantastic smoothie recipes? Hopefully I will start losing weight again since I have gained a few lbs. :cursing:

Whoohoo! Keep up the good work. I get my first fill tomorrow. I am ready
  24. It's ok. did you think the needle stick for the fills hurt? Mine did when he took all of my fluid out but I was also like 18 hours out of surgery so maybe my abdomen was tender. I usually have a pretty high tolerance for pain.
  25. Kentucky. Born and raised in Illinois but been in KY for 10 years so I guess I should start saying I am from KY.
