  1. All you can do is be honest with him at the same time be true to yourself. They warned us pre Lap that relationships could change. You are in my thoughts

Jeans, man we all know how hard it is to find the right pair. Over the past few yrs I was only concerned that I could zip and button them...........(Shield me from the size) and that I would not pass out if I sat down with them on from the pressure of the buckleing( Vivid memories ) Today I am down four sizes and 18's actually fit non sagging butts..............I am soooooooooo amazed :rolleyes2:
  3. Make up your mind not to be a failure.............step one. I know its a hard habit we've all had so much experience at it (Failure) dump it NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know the rules its ok to be a follower.................sometimes its whats best for us ! Good luck you make the final step and make it work, You can
  4. 8 months out with my tool, I did experience a couple of minor issues but I am still very happy with the results and my future.
  5. Welcome back ! Ppl here are very willing to assist you in any way they can. I ve learned the most from this gang, nothing to stupid to ask so ask away .......... What I find amazeing is that when you are truely needing to get back with your Dr. on certian issues no one attempts to replace your Dr's advice. I remember a couple of days after my surgery late at nite I went to our chat room for quick advice, I was so kindly reminded of my liquid lortab was awaiting for use ? hahahaha they were very gentle
  6. Do you still have your gallbladder ? I lost mine 3 months after surgery, just a thought
  7. We are constanley questioning ourselves, human nature I guess. I felt the same ,jello and broth did it to me too. Things will get beter its not a life sentence its just a lifestyle change. You were strong enough to make this descision for change. We are all strong enough in Lap Band Talk to offer you reassurance and support. HANG IN THERE ! 3 months from now you'll look back and laugh !
  8. Greek Yogart 2x the protien of regular its my breakfast of choice just about everyday

My Doc removed 3 cc from my band this morning and added 1cc to now equal 4cc. You know the drill ! instructions liquids for the rest of the day followed by tommorrow mushies and friday I can eat again. Everything seems right in the world when I can control at least one thing with assitance (My Band) my hunger.

Going in for my second adjustment or fill Wednesday.Dr said he will give me another 1 cc to my band. That will make 3 cc total. I felt a pretty big pause of no weight loss for the month of June. Dr reminds me that I did lose 8 lbs in May.I am feeling hungier between meals and am battleing myself ( or my head hunger) Fill is the right move for me,I am working my tool. My Dr listens to me I am grateful.
  11. Its not the same for everybody ! I didnt have my first fill untill 5 months post op.I had restriction with no fill for that long and lost my first 50 lbs. I had a 4cc fill at 6 months.then had a unfill of 2 cc could'nt eat. This week I am going to have a additional 1 cc added because I am feeling the restriction leaving me. Your story will be different just wait and see.............
  12. Congrats girl ! It FEELS SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
  13. You recieved a great diservice from your doc& staff if you have not been informed or given road rules about the band. I happy that you found this forum.Ppl here will tell you what you need to know and will tell you what you don't want to hear also. I 've asked alot of questions and learned a great deal. What I find most amazeing is that the honesty is pure............
  14. Just stop it ! ok really we ALL get hungry its just a matter of understanding why. Has your restriction deminished?( talk to Dr) are you making wise protien choices?( enough protien is critical )Are you bored? ( do something else)............don't head forthe refridge.....take a walk to anywhere.
  15. NADA......sorry to be the joy kill. But you will love your new leggs.
  16. (^*&%*&%&$%$#$_+_+(_)()*(!%@5) they SUCK !
  17. Girl .....just cut the cord. Those clothes do not define you.Besides new clothes will match the new you. You are holding too tightly to your security blankets.......... Share them with someone who needs them right now ! You 'll feel better about this too.
  18. You're gonna have problems in this forum.........just respect self expression and leave your teaching credentials at the door.........You'll learn alot of important and helpful tips here.
  19. Firstly realize BCBS of Al owns Alabama. They will approve you but at their pace. You will be required to work thru the 6 mon. period where you r supervised by your Dr. see the shrink, nutritionist etc. You won't be able to pass go untill you run the game. I hated every min of their control and spoke of it often to my friends and family but.....................now my hindsite is 20-20 I think the 6 months of doing what was required and understanding what I was getting into was critical. Banding is not for sissies.......... or folks thinking a just a little thingy...Its a Lifetime committment.
  20. I don't drink with my meals. I was taught that I needed the nutrients that food offers and that filling up with fluids would short change my body..............It just makes me think I want what is best for my body................We are in love

I challenged my hubby to join me at the Y last week. We became members In Feb , this morning was the first time he physically joined in the the fun. It was great seeing him swim. He said that just that little bit of activity made him feel like he had more energy!:bored:
  22. Stick with what you have been told my Dr still quizes me about sticking with a 4 oz serveings I am 8 months out. So yes it is important !
  23. Just relax and take the best medical advice available. I lost my gall bladder 3 months post op. You ll be fine and feel so much better.

I took off work for three days into a weekend. You're gonna feel especially better once you get to have some mushies. Almost all my bad feelings after surgery were related to feeling weak.

Back at work today, feeling almost 100 %.The mail and return calls I need to make are a killer. I don't mind working for a living its just that I TRUELY hate getting behind..the pressure I guess its my pet peeve. What do I have to show for being off from work for a week no post cards to send or anything. I lost 8 lbs last week the hard way puking and running. My only response was to carry a can of lysol with me as I traveled thru my house.................I became obcessed with the idea one could actually re infect onself with a virius............I even had sick thoughts to boot.
