I am at home sick today caught my husbands stomach virus. I ve been vomiting and etc for two days. I ve kinda forgotten how to take care of myself when a virus hits. Sip sip sip sleep sleep sleep thats the ticket.:frown:
  4. I would'nt get caught up in the weighing myself every morning routine. Women especially have flux times with water etc. I only weigh myself every two -three weeks. As long as I am doing what I am suspose to be doing its all good when I weigh in at my Docs office.
  5. Hang in there you are on the right road.........You'll feel a whole better in a few days CONGRATS!

Thanks WB, the Y made it easy for me 48 laps equals one mile. It takes me about 25 mins .Funny I ve been thinking about a waterproof iPod also. I find myself thinking about what lap I am on and then thinking about what I was doing at that year in my life...............really deep I know, thankfully I am over 48 !

No problems getting to the Y this morning for my mile walk in the pool. I feel really great. My goal is to keep it up every Mondays-Wednesday and Saturday for a month. Its doable!
  8. Just go with flow its appears to be working. You are eating little but that is normal. You are working your up to 4oz a meal. These fill experiences are so varied it can be confuseing. I did'nt have my first fill untill after 3 months and 45 lbs gone. So relax its very much a baby step thing you'll discover your normal in a while.
  9. You 'll be fine and yes in 6 months you'll look back and say YES I am taking my life back ! There are adjustments to be made but if you are committed to take control for once in your life I promise you it feels like a brand new red dress!

Ok I have no excuse to skip my mile at the Y tommorrow.........lets see if I am strong enough to make this work for me .
  11. Its really just informational, exploreing options others will be presented includeing the gastric by pass most likely. Depending on your insurance company you could be waiting for 6 months before the surgery is finally approved and set
  12. Age 53 if BCBS would have approved I would have banded at least 5 yrs ago
  13. That was a great story ! Thanks
  14. You'll find that we're a quirky grp here , You ll find support thru the message board more so than blogging. I guess its the quick format that we are all use to and luv

Cobra cost can be be costly, remember its what the worker would pay plus what the employer would have been paying,,,,,,,very punishing
  16. Have you ever tried Muscle Milk 39 grams of protien..... its loaded, and very filling. You can find @health related locals
  17. This month has been a bit awkward I ve jumped on the scale one too many times. I have not lost or gained a thing. I ve felt less than satisfied with my 4 oz servings at meal time. I am sure its time to increase my 2cc for better control. My newest plan for exerciseing is be on a unchangeable scheduel starting today. I did my mile in the pool at the Y this morning at 6 am. It takes me about 20 mins to do it. The YMCA is a few blocks from my office so I ahve no excuses PLease REMIND me I have no excuses !!!!!!! I am calling my Dr today also :rolleyes2:for an appt to set a another fill date.
  18. Its varies with the person myself, 2-3 days before I felt comfortable without that liquid Lortab..........:w00t:
  19. I was banded 10/15/09 evrything was going well without any fills until 3 months later when GALLBLADDER ATTACK ! I went to the emergency room to find that my pancreace was inflammed caused by a loose stone ( I thought my band had slipped or something). After 3 dys on iv only they were able to safley remove it. Everything is back to normal now.
  20. It will be ok........ I bitched up a storm about the same issue with BCBS. & 7 months later in retrospect that time was a good for me to really be sure I knew what I was getting into. No regrets, from me its really is a life style change and you need to wrap your brain around
  21. Just take a DEEP breath......... you are haveing this surgery so that you can have a better life, its not just a elective surgery for the fun of it. You are here at this moment for a reason. Pray and ask others to pray for you to. It never fails me......... I had my first surgery 4 yrs ago and experienced the same fear. I needed back surgery I was amazed at how I did'nt remember a thing about them wheeling me to the operateing room.
  22. I will never be sorry that I voted for and supported the Obama-Biden Ticket. They have given their all to make improvements in our country. Change is a good thing !
  23. For me I wanted to make my own decesion about having the band I research it about 3 yrs ago and thought right away it would be a great help to me. Unfortunalty my insurance company did'nt.So the very minute the policy changed I went for it.Only my closest friends knew I was planning on going thru with the surgery. I did'nt want people not close to me giving me their opinons yeah or nay. After surgery if anyone ask I tell, I am not ashamed of it nor do I feel the need to defend it. "Lapbanding is not a easy fix" you have to work it !
  24. Honestly I have no clue...............
  25. I found with myself that measureing is a key. Its amazeing how your hunger will effect your vision. My eyes tell me what I want not what i actually need 4oz. My Doc continues to school me on the 4 oz rule. I too have a problem with how quickly I eat. I never sit in front of TV and eat because its mindless.I found the baby spoons helpful they force me to think about what I am about to put in my mouth
