  1. Mary, I'm so glad to hear that you are able to keep food down now. I'm sure that your enery level will be going up now too. I'm sorry that you have had a rough few days. That is funny about the cat food patties. I will have to remember that. We like salmon too. Hope to hear more good news soon. Judy
  2. Doghouse, How are you? How is your weightloss coming along? Wishing the best for you. Judy

  7. Party time! Daisy, some days I do have extra energy so I push myself. I then pay for it later. I will feel drained for a day or two until I can get my strength back up again. I am trying not to push it for a few days. My kindergarteners will start on the 6th and I need to be ready. I usually have to come home and take a 30 min. nap before I can do anything the rest of the day. I know loosing weight will help get my energy back to normal so I can keep up with a room full of 5 year olds. Judy
  8. Sending prayers your way Penny. You will be ok and back home before you know it. Hugs, Judy
  9. Ok ladies, no pickle fighting. Just pm me your address and I will ship them.
  10. OK people, who is going to be sleeved in October? I will start. My name is Judy and I am a foodacholic. I will be sleeved by Dr. Aceves in Mexico on Oct. 1st 2009.
  11. Thank You Alex! This is really nice of you to give such a great prize. Judy
  12. Well Vegas, if your hair is coming in curly after the sleeve maybe mine will come back in straight. I was born with very curly hair. I blowdry then take a hot curling iron to try and stretch it out. If I don't do this everyday it looks like I have an afro. When I'm home by myself I just let it be curly. Judy
  13. Congrats Jill! You will do great! Keep us posted on your progress. Where are you having your surgery? Good Luck, Judy

My watermelons will be getting ripe in about 2 weeks. I am having to buy my fresh corn this year because we have been over run with coons. I have extra vegs that I have been sharing with friends. So come on over and I will share with you too. I've also got some extra brown eggs if you like those too. Have a good day! Judy

  17. Welcome Beth, Thank you for posting your story. I will be having surgery with Dr. Aceves on Oct. 1. Any pointers you have will be welcome. Judy
  18. Daisy, Why don't you call the pharmacy? They should be able to answer your questions. Let the rest of us know if you find out anything. Too bad our 2 old friends aren't here to answer this one. Judy
  19. Well, I have another date. I've always heard that the 3rd time is the charm. Dh and I will be leaving on our 7 hour flight on Sept. 30th. Tickets are booked and paid for and date cleared with Nina. I will be missing 3 days of work but don't have to be back till October 13 due to fall break. Hubby was told last week that he would be laid off this week. Things will be tough for awhile but we decided to go ahead with the surgery, I have canned a lot of fresh vegs. from my garden and hubby has a freezer full of blackberries and a hog he killed. He always gets a deer too. Plus I have over 100 chickens. I plan to down size on the chicks though, so I won't have to buy a lot of feed for them this winter. Can you tell I live in the country? I have a hillbilly accent to go along with it. Sorry for rambling. Just wanted to share my new date. Have a nice and restful Sunday afternoon. Judy
  20. Oh Daisy, I know that you will have a good time. You really are going to get through this rough patch in your life. You are doing the right thing by getting out of town and having some fun. Life dosen't last long so don't waste your time being so sad. One day I might get the courage to tell you about a terrible tragedy that happened in my life. My faith in God is why I'm still living today. Be happy Daisy. We care about you. Hugs, Judy
  21. Welcome Barb. You are gonna love it here.
  22. Bob, that sounds like a really nice place. I would love the Water aerobics. The little place I signed up with for a month is just a room on the back of a little country grocery store. There is about 10 different machines in a circle. You just begin on any machine until a tape recording yells "change", about 2 or 3 mins. on each machine. You go around 3 times on all the machines and jog in place between each machine. My hubby thought he would suprise me and went to yard sales, thrift shops, ect. and bought 5 different exercise machines and put them in the basement for me. He spent less than $50 and I can use them everyday. Sometimes we workout together. I'm really having fun with this. My young teenage grandchildren enjoy it too when they come for a visit. Enjoy the exercise Bob. I know it is going to be so worth it. Judy
  23. We applied for the passport card too. Our tickets will cost 450. if I book them now. You got a good deal on your tickets. We will have a 6 and 1/2 hour flight. Can you change your surgery to the first of the month? I have some sick days that I could use but I hate to do that to the teacher I work with. I have 3 special needs children in my kindergarten class this year and I don't like to leave them with a sub. Did you get the special price at Dr. Aceves hospital? That would help alot. Judy
  24. Norma, I'm so happy that you have your date. I wish I could get mine on the same day. Last year we had fall break late in Oct.. I found out today that it is going to be the first week of Oct.. Well we could be Halloween sleeve sisters. Judy
  25. Welcome Chancie, Thank you for your story. That is a great way to give hope for all us wantabes. Keep on posting. You will be a great help answering questions too. Judy
