What's on your mind?
Thanks for the prayers. I really have to get this weight off. I am so tired when I get home, I just take a shower and lay down for a couple of hours. All my kindergarters are so needy this year. It takes all my energy to get through the day. Is it Friday yet? Daisy, how are you feeling today? Did you go to the Dr.?

What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?
I agree with alot of what everyone else has said, but I would like to polish my own toenails or put a bandaide on my sore toe. I would like to have more room on my lap for my grandchildren to sit. I would like to make some quilts out of my fat clothes. I would like to feel a little chill so I could put on one of those cute little sweaters. I would like to wear some sexy little shoes in a size 7 instead of a 7 1/2 extra wide. I would like to have a watch without putting in an extra link for width. I would like to wear a regular size necklas on a skinny neck. I want to see my collar bone again.

What's on your mind?
Funerals are on my mine. Last week my cousin's 25 year old son was killed in a motorcycle accident. Very sad The minister who married my hubby and me in 1973 passed away. Very kind, sweet man. He was 91. His sweet wife of 69years just wanted to sit and hold my hand yesterday at the funeral home. I'm starting my day in the morning with 27+ 4 and 5 year olds. Some will be special needs. I need prayer.

Home!! SO HAPPY
Penny, So glad to hear from you. It sounds like you are doing great with your liquids. Your family sounds very supportive and that is going to help out alot. It is ok to be a little emotional right now. You just had a serious operation plus giving up a good friend (food). So you just go ahead and have a good cry and get it out of your system if you want. Then you will feel better and be ready to start again. We are here for you. Hugs, Judy

Hope Deferred
Welcome Fencepost, (love the name). Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is true that God never gives up on us. He might have plans for us to do something else for awhile, so we can't give up on him either. I'm thankful for the blessing that you recieved. I too have had to cancel my surgery twice before due to other responsibilities. I have a new date on Oct 1st and with God's Grace I will get my sleeve this time. Thank you so much for posting your story. You are a good example to others not to give up. Please keep on posting and keep us informed of your progress. Judy

October 1st
Hi Nanna Carol, My 3 grandkids call me Nanny too. Upton is about halfway between Louisville and Bowling Green. Yeah, I agree we have had alot of rain this year. You can plant some late potatoes and maybe have better luck. I have squash and cucumbers running out of my ears too. I have a whole basket of stuff I'm giving away tomorrow. I have 14 dozen eggs in my frig. that I have to take to a little country store tommorow. What else do you have planted in your garden? Carolphx, I do have a lot of stuff canned for this winter. I will enjoy the rest of the family eating it after Oct. 1. LOL Maybe I can blend some of the veg. Soup after I'm allowed full liquids. Judy

October 1st
It's hard sometimes Daisy but I've been around little kids all my life and I guess you just get used to it. I was in a class a couple of years ago that just about did me in. You name it and they did it plus more. LOL SoCal, that is so funny about the chicken manure. I built my hen house on a little hill. When it rains the manure washes out of the chicken lot into the little field behind it. That is where I planted my blackbery vines. They stay naturaly fertilized and we have lots of berries without much work. All this self efficent knowledge comes in handy sometimes. We were trapped here for about 2 weeks last winter during an ice storm. No electricity, phone, Water. We made it fine. I have a gas cook stove to cook on. A wood stove in the basement for heat. Worse part was melting snow and ice to water the chickens and take a bath. It's just the way I was raised. I taught my 12 year old granddaughter this year how to can pickles. She loved it. Judy
