I agree with VAngel. The pre op is just as important as the post op diet. Neither are easy but they won't last too long.

Congrats on your date! I know how excited you are, I was just there not too long ago. :lol0:

Dandimples, welcome to our forums and congrats on getting your date! Like the others said, follow your surgeons orders and you should do great.

Thanks everyone, I am still very excited, but with a twinge of nervousness:001_unsure:. My only concern now is how will I get al the fluids and protein in throughout the day because I am a nursing student and spend most of my time between classes, clinicals, and work! So, I am just trying to devise a plan to get everything in!!!

Just do the best you can - there's no way I got in all my liquids and proteins the first 2-3 weeks following surgery -- just be sure you always have a bottle of water or liquid with you and sip, sip, sip whenever and as often as you can. I also suck on alot of ice cubes, especially at work.

i'm in the same boat hunny!!!! mines is the 25th i'm a boat of nervousness.

The nervousness/excitement/doubt/fear, etc. is normal and everyone goes through it. You'll both be fine!
