  1. Good luck Nina. Will be thinking of you and your surgery.
  2. Congrats on your loss and upcoming PS. You have done really well
  3. Tami! Looking great. Look at those guns! I am going to get another tat after my PS. I had a freind on another board draw it up for me. Kind of cheesy, but its a Phoenix to sybolize my rizing from the ashes. Probably going to add a little color to the head and tail:
  4. No worries the girly things don't bother me at all. I haven't had any negative reactions from others, at least to my face. lol You know, I did this for me and no one else. I am doing PS for the same reason - for myself, to make me feel better about me. I tell anyone and everyone and am ok with that. Did you notice our ticker in in days now instead of months and weeks! Getting ever so closer
  5. Hi all. Guess I will post my before pics too. Nina, no offense here for sure. As for the 1 inch per 30 pounds, not sure about that particular ratio, but if its not TMI, I can sure tell the difference and am quite happy about it
  6. No need to appoligize ladies I am use to it now. WLS seems to be more of a girls thing too, though it seams to be changing. My PS said she was going to be lifting the skin on my upper pubic area too, not sure if its still called mons on us guys. My dad is bringing me a lift for the toilet seat too so I don't have to go down so far too sit. Might be a good thing for you ladies as you have to do that much more than I will. Nina - One month fromt oday! Getting real close now. I scheduled mine 3 months out, so the time has gone by pretty slow, but now that its closer the reality is really starting to set in. I find myself in the mirror pulling up the skin to imagine what I will look like post op. Anyone else do that?

  8. My bariatric Dr called back and left a voicemail for me regarding my fill question. I guess the nurse misunderstood me. The Dr said for me not to get a untill after surgery and I am healed. I guess she thought I was asking to get filled prior to the TT. But he did not mention anything about getting an unfill, so I guess that answers my question. lol He did mention that I would probably get tighter post TT. I found that interesteing. The links you guys posted were good, but it would be nice if all PS sights would include a little bit of a male perspective! LOL Even my Dr appoligized for the video she showed and all the brochures were geared towards women.
  9. Great news Tami!! This thread should be fun to read when we are all posting while on pain meds at the same time! LOL
  10. Guess I am the token man around here, huh? LOL I am telling everyone I am getting abdominoplasty. It sounds much more masculine than a TT.
  11. Awesome - you got a date! Who did you go with? This is getting exciting
  12. Good questions. I have been wondering about fill levels for surgery as well. I am thinking of calling my Dr to see what he says.
  13. Wow, there are a lot of us going in next month. Can't wait to see everyone's progress. I will for sure take and post pics along the way.
  14. Reminds me of an old saying that my parents take to heart that my pediatrician had on all her notepads when I was growing up: "Any government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everythig you have" These stories reinforce my hatred for big government and socialist liberals.

So the government should regulate based on your religious beliefs? My religion says its OK. The whole spare the rod verse of the bible. Even James Dodson, who is a respected member of the Christian faith and family advocate condones spanking for discipline under the proper circumstances. 17. Congrats Julie! Hope all goes well. You look fantastic. Thanks for sharing your journey with us

I certainly respect your opinion, though I disagree. I would point out that in your example. I agree that spanking a child in that case would not be appropriate. On the other hand, if your watching your child and they disobey your orders to stop and continue on into the street. I feel a spanking is very appropriate :Banane20:
  20. Thanks Tracy. even though I don't post as much as I used to, I still lurk from time to time. I have seen your progression pics and your doing so well. Congrats!
  21. Thanks Craig. I will try to post more as the time nears. Congrats on getting your band and starting your weight loss journey Thanks Ghost. Thanks for leading the way THanks Julie! I appreciate the kind words

I was spanked as a child and I respect my parents for it. I spank my child too. If you leave a mark or a bruise, its abuse, but a swat on the butt or hand is effective IMO. I look at it this way. I have a 2 year old. He is too young for me to sit down and have a philosophical talk about why he shouldn't do certain things. If I tell him no and he continues to do something that may harm him, he will not understand me talking to him. But if I swat him, he will remember next time that if I do this, I get spanked. He remembers that.
  23. I have to agree with the others. I have twice lost large amounts of weight only to regain with interest. I think it is great and insiring, but like the others, I would like to see them 3 or 5 years down the road.
  24. I had quite a bit on my stomach and thighs. Everywhere is ok. I am scheduled for an abdominoplasty on February 11.
  25. I don't know if there is anything more you could have done. Like someone else said, sometime you just can't win. There are those who do not have good customer service skills. I was just posting to give you hope, that there is still good customer service available
