Marchies In August
The fill didn't happen because they couldn't find the right spot on the port. Not for trying. I joked that when I drink Water I'm going to look like a watering can. I'll get it done under fluro on Friday. They do that at a different office...no harm. Thanks for the well wishes, I'll save them for Friday. I did get back to the gym and strength training today. My calories are reasonable too. Whew.

Picking Goal??
My doctor told me 110... I'm 5'2'', and he did the 5 foot = 100 pounds, 5 pounds for every inch there after.... I told him he was insane, and 130 would suit me just fine. I want to see 130 then maybe lose another 5-10...we'll see. When I was 10 years old I weighed 110 pounds, I was a chubby girl, but weighing what I did at 10 seems unthinkable.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
I did go back to work today. It was nice and I feel very TAN, but everyone was like, "where's your tan?" I guess I need to walk around naked so they can see the lines. HA! That would scare um! I went for my fill today, but they couldn't hit the port. Holy crap I feel like a colander! They poked me 4 or 5 times! I said when I drink water I'm going to look like a watering can! Anyway come Friday I get it done under fluro. I'm cool with that. I miss D too. Hope she's out having fun!

Vegas in January, Agenda, Next Steps
Hi LBTers We are going to Vegas January 18-19-20 2008! Here’s the scoop. <O:p You get your own flight. Arrive as early as you’d like and stay as late as you wish. This is our agenda: We are staying at Treasure Island (TI) www.treasureisland.com. You can stay there or the hotel of your choice, but the group has decided to stay there. We don’t have a block of rooms so there’s no need to ask about that. Make your own reservations. We are having a hors d'oeuvre reception with a cash bar at TI on Friday night. Saturday during the day you are on your own. Gamble, shop, sight see, hang out with your new LBT friends, go on a bike ride, there’s plenty to do. Saturday night we are going to see Mystere (Just a note, tickets don’t go on sale for the 1-19-08 until September 19, 2007.) www.treasureisland.com/mystere/mystere.aspx?CMP=KNC-Google-TI_Mystere Sunday we are going to do a Hoover Dam/Ethel M Tour www.lasvegasgrandcanyontour.com/bus/deluxe-hoover-dam-bus-tour.htm <O:p Friday night’s reception needs a head count, so please if you are going to come let me know by way of email or PM here on LBT. Include your guests too. That is going to cost either $20-25 per person. We’ll need to know by December 1st just how many people we are expecting. As for paying, I’m not sure if you’ll pay at the door or if we’ll make arrangements before hand. That’s yet to be determined. Really we need to have a good idea about how many of us will attend so we can make those decisions. <O:p The other tickets you will need to purchase on your own. <O:p Questions? Ask away! <O:p And please, regardless of your expressed interest in the past we are starting with a blank list as of right now, so let me know again if you are going. <O:p Only positive responses are needed.

Things People Pass Off For Compliments and Things Skinny People Say That Piss You Off
I'm so sorry that happened to you, but I promise you that person will never ever ask anyone the same question again, ever. I've been asked that a few times, more so by kids saying, "Momma, she's going to have a baby!" while pointing at me. I typically say, "No, I'm not, I'm just differently sized. People come in all sorts of sizes, shapes and colors." The parents want to die. HA. Right now what is getting to me are the 9 year old girls at the pool who can't help but stare at me in my swim suit. I want to tell them it's bad manners or ask them if they want to touch my fat just to freak them the hell out...Normally I catch their eye and they turn their heads...Any pointers in what to say?

hehehehe Don't you just love that. Good for you and I'll challenge anyone who calls this easy. It's an "in your face constantly, deal with being fat so you can over come it instead of denial, let me have a second freaking helping" easy. If it were so easy everyone would sign up for it. Strut you gorgeous freaking nearly 199 pound hot self.

waist not waste. Oi. I wish editing was easier on this sight. And btw, I'm going for my first fill today. July was a hard-hard month for me and it showed in what I put into my mouth. I'm back on track the last few days but I need the boost of some restriction. I'm a little scared to be honest, but all in all I think it's time.

Kyethra First of all you kill me with all of the "back in the days". Girl you are 24. There can't be too many of them! But more seriously try Kohls or some other department store not Lord and Taylor. You'll certainly find good, better than Lane Bryant, bras there. Look for brands like Vanity Fair and Warner...Try many different styles and a range of sizes. I find the bra fitting guides don't work on larger sized women...so go to a happy zen place and know you'll have more misses than hits with the bras, but you'll find some. Also, check out the misses sizes there...again, brands like Lee, Gloria Vanderbulit and Dockers might fit better the LB's and especially better than Catherines. I particularly like Old Navy's plus size stuff on line. I don't have much of an ass but broad hips and small waste. See what works. Happy Shopping!

BG Congratulations! I looked at your link to what you are doing and thought maybe...working out twice in one day seems a bit complicated with my school and life schedule...but I can see the benefits! You are doing so very well! HP You know the best exercise for weak ankles? Bicycling! You're going to have to reassess yourself again, because your ankles are probably stronger than you imagine. As for jumping rope too much of me moves independantly of the rest of me. Like my boobs and belly. I've read about the health benefits but I get too embarasses to do it for any length of time.

Pamela- You proposed?! How fantanstic! Congratulations! You were such a treat and Susanne was a lot of fun too! Who says talking about ironing is boring?! Matt enjoyed the conversation too. Glad you made it home safe and sound. You know, we will take you up on that offer. Should you find yourself in SW Michigan or Central Ohio you've got people to visit! Or more realistically, if you find yourself in Chicago, let us know and we'll meet you there too! XO to you and S.

Cool pictures! The feet in shoes aren't nearly as adorable as the sandels. But very great. Just be sure you check the tree for rot before you hang it up! I read a story/warning about just that thing. The person got in their tent in the rain, heard thunderous noise only to have the tree next to the one she selected get blown over by the wind because it rotted!!!! If she had picked that tree instead she'd have been too dead to share the story. Freaky huh? HP I don't have an exercise ticker because I exercise so freaking much it was a pain to update it. (REALLY). But I could use something to make me accountable for ab exercises. I just hate doing those and of course that's where I'm the biggest! I'm going to the gym an hour + every day, and riding as much as possible. I got in 23 miles today. Yippy! It felt good to get back on my bike. I love her by the way. I'd marry it if I could. J

JC I too know how to pout and throw a temper tantrum. They go a long way to sorting the injustices of the world, don't they? Sounds like you have a plan. You'll still work at the weight loss even though a huge multi day bike ride isn't going to happen as soon as you planned. You'll succeed. You've got everthing it takes to do it.

Stevee I know it seems hopeless right now, but something will turn up. Explore all the avenues you can think of. You've got my sympathies.

HP Talking about it as room for improvement is such a great way to think about things instead of kicking your own butt. At least that's how I feel. I gained 2 pounds on vacation, which I'm not too worried about considering I could have done far worse but it has me at the same weight I was literally a month ago. So instead of sobbing into a giant bowl of coffee caramel ice-cream I've made a plan...I have my first fill on Monday but instead of waiting until then to get busy I've determined to eat only 1000 calories today, I called the sitter for a few hours tomorrow so I can get in a 20-25 mile ride and I'm re thinking all my goals and how being successful at this part (the weight loss piece) is related to the other ones... BG- I want to piggy back on your words to JC. What she said. Also, you're a maniac on that bike! You go girl! I know about the camel backs, I'm so close to getting one... if you're interested, I have more pictures of me and some ramblings on Lap Band Aid It's my blog.

New to site - breaking my addiction
Fantastic that you and your wife are going at this together. 20 years is a wake up call, isn't it?

JC Of course you're numb! I'd be too. Like you said, nothing is written in stone. Your surgeon is good to go exploring before saying all bets are off. He can't be happy about going behind a different surgeon's work, that's never a favorite thing to do. You are young and healthy. It may be saved after all. Come here and vent all you need. We really care about you.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Hi everyone. I'm home safe and sound now. I need to run to the grocery to get some growing food in the house and into my body! That's what we call not junk food. I'll be running from there to get my daughter, who I miss so much!!!!!!!!! I'll catch up with everyone individually shortly.
