  1. Nice to hear I am not the only Choc. Milk freak - this also is new since the banding in July 07. As for food - I say that bread & rice and I are no longer friends. I can so just about anything else. I have noticed in the morning my band seems tighter. I usually do protien drinks or milk to take meds then eat Breakfast later in the morning while at work.
  2. I have used both since being banded in July 07. They both work fine. The bullet is MUCH easier and smaller. I use it to chop food and make shakes. I really like it becuase the cups are smaller. My 10 & 12 year old boys have also been using the bullet. They think the best thing is ice and Orange juice. I can't complain about that. Have a great one Cathy
  3. I was banded July 07 - have lost 55 lbs and have about 40 to go. I regret being banded when I want to sit down and eat pounds of steamed shrimp. That is the only time I have been angry!! LOL
  4. I was banded in July 07. My Dr. never said anything about drinking. I have told them that sometimes after a long difficult day I will drink dinner instead of eating. My problem is I like to drink and eat. So on a rare occasion I have just cut out the eating part. My Dr. does not have a problem with it, he just shakes his head at me and comments that I am still losing, so something must be right. I tell the Dr. it is his fault since he did tell me to not drink anything for an hour after eating. If you don't eat then just drink. Have a great one. Cathy
  5. I am wondering how people picked their goal weight. I had surgery 6/29/07 & had my first fill yesterday. I have not picked a goal weight and was wondering what factors people used. Thanks Cathy in Maryland
  6. I was banded 6/29 - stayed 1 night in the hospital and was smoking the next day. My surgeon is not a fan of smoking, but does not push a person to stop. He thinks that a person sould deal with 1 problem or addiction at a time. Cathy
  7. My doctor will not fill until 6 weeks after surgery. I had mine on June 29, so I am still waiting for a fill. I have lost about 20 pounds from pre & post surgery liquids and now the mush food. Thanks, Cathy
  8. I just had my surgery on 6/29/07. I live in southern maryland and went to Dr. Eric Pinnar in Reston Virginia. Near Dulles Airport. I am very impressed with him and his staff. The group is know as Advanced Weight Loss Solutions Advanced Weight Loss Solutions :: Home Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you want any other information. Cathy
  9. I am from St. Mary's county. I had my surgery on 6/29/07, so I am 1 week out. Feeling great so far. I am not really having any problems with the liquids and them going down. I had my surgery with Eric Pinnar in Reston, VA. I have my first post op appointment on 7/10. Thanks Cathy
