  1. Wow sorry you went through such a horrible ordeal. Good luck with the rest of your WL journey!
  2. Hi Joe welcome back!! Good luck to ya.
  3. OMG my body totally does the same thing!!!!! Last Sunday the scale said 264 Monday it was 263 Tuesday it was 265 Wednesday it was 266 Thursday it was 264 Friday it was 264 and then I went out of town for the weekend but I'm sure tomorrow morning it's going to say either 264 or 265. Ugh. It's so frustrating! Then by next weekend I'll be down to 261 or 260 and fighting again with the same lbs.
  4. Congrats! Good luck with your process I hope everything goes smoothly for you!
  5. For me it wasn't so much the pain as it was the discomfort. You are very uncomfortable from the gas. Your stomach is uncomfortable because of your incisions. You will be that way for about 3 days before you start to feel much better.
  6. I would make an appointment with your PCP and then I would also find a surgeon in your area and make an appointment with them. Good luck with your journey!!
  7. Congrats! Keep up the good work.
  8. Good question!!! Can't answer that because I haven't gone out on a date since I got banded back in January. I would say maybe a month or so into the relationship. Is there ever a good time?
  9. I can't wait for the day I no longer have to shop there either! They are so expensive!
  10. lol. Yea but I bet that made you feel so good!
  11. Wow what an awesome feeling!
  12. Welcome! Congrats on getting banded! I know it's the best thing I ever did! good luck with reaching your goal you seem like you're off to a good start.
  13. Unfortunately it is a slow process and we have to have patience. Our bodies have to get used to the band. My 1st fill was only 4cc's and since then I've had 2 more fills for a total of 6 cc's and I still don't really have any restriction but I do however get fuller a bit faster these days which is good because I can still enjoy food and not pb it up!
  14. Good luck! I'm sure you will get there. If not on the 4th then shortly thereafter!
  15. Doesn't it amaze yourself how small your pants are? I've dropped shirt wise from a 26/28 to a 18/20. I put on a 22/24 the other day and it was way too big. I wish my pants size would fall. I was a 26/28 now i'm a 24. I just wish it would catch up to my top!
  16. Oh shoot! I remember your post now. Sorry. I was just so happy that I didn't even think to look for a similar post! That is such an awesome feeling.
  17. How full is your band? Are you getting a sick or anything? Sometimes when you get sick it feels like your band is much tighter.
  18. Hey. I had my surgery on a Wednesday, went back to work on Monday. I really wasn't 100% until a good 2 weeks after my surgery. By then I was bending over and lifting light things and I was able to sleep on my stomach again.
  19. Are you making sure you take your supplements? Wow loss of appetite. Lucky you. Well just make sure when you do eat that you get plenty of Protein and nutrients. Is your doctor ok with what you're doing? What does he/she say about it? I had a brief loss of appetite shortly after my surgery but of course it came back. Also, make sure when you make your CIB that maybe you mix in fruit with it. That's a good way for you to get those nutrients.
  20. I was just going down to the cafeteria at work to get some more ice for my ice Water when this girl who works down the hallway (i've never even talked to her) stopped me and said I just wanted to tell you that you look really good. You've always been a pretty girl but you can really tell you've lost weight. I'm still speechless. It was so nice to hear a compliment like that from a complete stranger. What was your best compliment you've received so far?
  21. It feels like you sat down and ate a big old Thanksgiving dinner minus the really uncomfortable, sleepy feeling afterward.
  22. You are so right. I have to remove myself from the day-to-day weigh ins and look at what i'm losing each month. I've lost 10 lbs since Easter. By the end of summer I will probably be down 20 more pounds.
  23. After about 2 weeks I was good. By then I had my staples removed and I wasn't sore.
  24. You probably won't feel much restriction at this point. My 1st fill was 4cc's and while I got fuller a little faster I really didn't have much restriction. I have 6cc's now and while I definitely have a bit more restriction it's still not much.
  25. Wow 90 lbs in a year. That is awesome. Keep up the good work. You will get those next 40 pounds I know it!!!
