Gun Control
I don't know, I guess I have two different opinions on this topic. Ideally, I wouldn't be against a total ban on guns. The problem with that is that there are way too many guns out on the street at this point, and I don't think a total ban would work. My second opinion is that people should be allowed to own guns, but with severe restrictions. I don't think anyone with felony convictions, or certain misdemeanor convictions, or a history of mental illness should be allowed to own a gun. I think that everyone in a household where a gun is present should be forced to take at least a yearly safety course in order to be allowed to keep their gun. I don't think fully automatic weapons should be legal, with the exception of legitimate collectors and law enforcement personel. I also think that there should be a requirement to have guns kept in a locked gun safe or kept with a trigger guard.

Music - Whats your flavor?
I can't remember if I've replied to this thread or not. Anyway, I like a little bit of everything. Currently, I'm most into classic rock, but I also like a little country (Alabama, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, classic Garth Brooks, etc.), blues, pop (yes, I was an Nsync fan, stop laughing), even hip-hop (Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, etc.).

Talk to me about Blackberries
I like it, but again, I don't know a heck of a lot about PDAs.

Talk to me about Blackberries
I'm not sure. You may have to route it through your phone or something, but that should be simple if your phone has Bluetooth.

Talk to me about Blackberries
Ooh, the Nokia Internet Tablet looks great! It comes with a built-in wireless card and costs about $360.00 right now.

Talk to me about Blackberries
I think you can. Of course, I think you'd have to buy service or have some form of free wireless, but a lot of the new ones can access the internet. I just looked at CircuitCity.com, and you can get a Palm TX for $279.00, and it's WIFI capable.

Talk to me about Blackberries
Have you thought about just getting a PDA? I think those can be used to check internet/email. If so, that would probably work best, since you already have a phone.

Yet another protein shake recommendation
Disregard this one, folks. Just found out that this protein mix is better suited for weight-lifters than bariatric patients.

Drink Mixer...Magic Bullet?
Yes! I absolutely LOVE mine. Mine came with the protein sampler pack from BariatricEating.com. Although, I have found them for a lot less money on the Home Shopping Network website. You can get a set of two 20oz cups for about $13.00 or a set of 4 28oz cups for $20.00. Every other place I've seen them, they cost about $8-$9 per cup, minimum. They're great for mixing basic protein drinks. I will never go back to mixing with a spoon after using it.

Favorite kitchen tool?
I think my new favorite kitchen tool is the Blender Bottle I got with my Protein sampler pack from BariatricEating.com. It's just a plastic bottle with a whisk-ball inside it, but it works amazingly well to get all those pesky lumps out of Protein drinks. I'm attaching a picture of it. Note to anyone that wants one: Don't buy it from BariatricEating.com or even the manufacturer's website. You can get them for much cheaper from the Home Shopping Network website, in either a set of two small ones (20oz) or a set of four large ones (28oz). Seriously, I'll never go back to mixing my drinks with a fork or spoon, 'cause this thing rocks!

Yet another protein shake recommendation
I've recommended Matrix chocolate (Syntrax), whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter (PVL), and nectar Fuzzy Navel (Syntrax). This time, I am recommending IDS vanilla Cinnamon Protein powder. Believe me, I wouldn't recommend something that I wouldn't drink myself (and I'm very picky about my protein drinks). This one is really good. I am pretty sensitive to tastes, so I don't like many Protein drinks, I like this one. It's light, with a slight cinnamon flavor. And the best parts? There is no horrid aftertaste like many protein drinks have, it shakes up into a very smooth drink (I LOVE my blender bottle), and there is no overwhelming artificial sweetener flavor. Links to online stores with good prices for all the above products: Matrix and Nectar: Netrition's Syntrax Prices Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter: Netrition's PVL Prices (not all the flavors are available here, more are available at BariatricEating.com's Whey Gourmet page) IDS Vanilla Cinnamon: IDS

What Are Some People Thinking???
OUCH, Wheetsin. And here I was, worrying about throwing up (I felt like puking most of yesterday). Well, I hope you continue feeling fine, and that the weight stays off.

Another protein recommendation
I already made posts recommending Matrix Chocolate (by Syntrax) and Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter flavors. This time, I'm recommending a fruit flavored powder. Nectar Fuzzy Navel (also by Syntrax) is pretty good, almost like drinking those orange/pineapple/peach mixed juices. I'm not sure if I would be able to drink it every day, but it would be a good change from the standard vanilla or chocolate shakes.

Who have you had enough of ??
Believe me, it's so stupid that you don't want to know. Someone on the board is feuding with one of my friends here, and the person decided to PM me to yank me into the middle of it.

Nauseous
Boy, I'm feeling sick all of a sudden. I'm taking anti-nausea pills (really glad I go them refilled last week), but I still feel like puking. I really hope I'm not getting sick. Throwing up is the one thing I am really dreading. I'm so worried that my band will slip if I do.

2nd fill -- can't even sip water
Get a slight unfill. You should always be able to get liquids down after a fill.

Yummy protein mix!
I got the mini protein sampler from BariatricEating.com, and I just tried the Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter sample. It's REALLY good. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes peanut butter.
-
Matrix Chocolate or Cookies and Creme?
You should try the Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter protein mix. I got a sample of it in BariatricEating.com's mini protein pack (sampler pack), and it's pretty damn good. I could drink that every day.

Tell me your story I can't pick a MX surgeon!!
I think so, too. I think it's pitiful that people apparently feel the need to make multiple personalities to defend their opinions.
-
Who have you had enough of ??
I am sick to death of people trying to drag me into their feuds with other members. Leave me out of it, people!
-
Okay, THAT was disgusting.
I really don't like the flavor enough to go to the trouble of straining it. It's just not good. I haven't tried that one yet, but their Roadside Lemonade is gross. The Apple Ecstasy and Strawberry-Kiwi flavors aren't too bad, if you like very sweet, candy-flavored things.

Tell me your story I can't pick a MX surgeon!!
You know, the fact that Passive Viewer sent me a PM, in which (s)he bashed WASaBubbleButt, called her a liar, and tried to convince me that she was not one of multiple personalities only makes me think that WABB may be right. Especially since I had NEVER PMed or posted anything to Passive Viewer before, or even seen his/her SN before I received the PM (I was out of town for the last few days). The only people I had posted anything about in this thread were B A looser and My Lap-band, and that was only to show the similarities between their posts, so WHY would (s)he PM me, when I had had nothing to do with the discussion between herself and WABB?
-
Matrix Chocolate or Cookies and Creme?
I'd go for chocolate. WASaBubbleButt sent me some Cookies and cream Matrix samples. They're okay, but not as good as the chocolate Matrix. The cookie bits kind-of settle out, making it very gritty towards the end. It's a little too sweet for me, also. The cookies and cream is way better than a lot of the Protein drinks I've tried (stay far, FAR away from Protein Delite mixes), but still isn't what I'd call "yummy." I've not tried the Matrix orange cream flavor, but I've tried another brand's orange cream flavor, and it SUCKED. If you want something sweet and candy-flavored, try the nectar Apple Ecstasy and Strawberry-Kiwi flavors. I couldn't drink them every day, but they aren't bad for a change.

Where's the gang?
Well, we definitely want you to feel better.
