Okay, THAT was disgusting.

I had ordered the mini protein sampler (without the book) from BariatricEating.com. It came with a bottle of Vanilla Very Berry Protein Delite On the Go, where it has a premeasured scoop of powder in the bottle and you just add water and shake. Apparently, this brand has chunks of stuff in the powder, freeze-dried fruit in this case. I just tried it, and it is pretty damn disgusting. The flavor of the actual protein drink is not horrible (not good, either), but the problem is the chunks. I have found that I don't LIKE chunks in my protein drinks, it makes me gag. Plus, it looks like vomit. It mixes up to a grayish-purple with dark chunks in it.

Soooooo, I take it you won't be ordering it again? wink.gif
Not that brand, at least. I still have a bunch of other samples to try, so I'm hoping the others are better.

I'll stick with my Whey protein powders from GNC and Walmart for now. No chunks and they taste pretty good too. Thanks for the heads-up....Dave

LOL I am sitting at my desk rolling with laughter.

WASa BB you are crackin me up.

Well Laurend at least you know what you dont like. lol

That's the GREAT thing about their sample packs--you aren't stuck with a month's supply of patented Gag-A-Maggot.

I found the nectar "Lemon Tea" to be the worst so far, but I'm a fine Southern woman, and I take my iced tea seriously.

Lessnless, you have my ultimate favorite saying on your post

...if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got..

I love this saying!

Cerrin,

Right back atcha. The first time I saw your siggy, I thought, "The only way there's a skinny woman in me is if I accidentally sat on one at the ball park" :):confused:

All,

I have found the ultimate (for-now, for-me, your-mileage-may-vary) Protein Drink. Tastes just like a Smoothie-King pineapple/orange/coconut fruit smoothie. YU--UMM:

1 scoop Jay Robb's whey Protein (Pina Colada)

1 packet Crystal Light On-the-Go (Sunrise Orange)

16oz Water (water flavored, duh)

============

153 calories, 24g whey isolate protein

Jay Robb's is available at the Vitamin Shoppe, or you can order samples online at Jay Robb Official Site - The Fruit Diet, Fruit Flush 3 Day Detox, All Natural Protein powders

Vanilla Ice Cream Gold Standard Whey 100% Protien by (ON) is the besssssttttt stuff out there. You can just add anything, mix it with a spoon and go. Great flavor. Get it at GNC. I know I sound like a comercial but, I, along with some good banding friends enjoy the fact that we can add water or milk or juice or friut and it will still taste good and wont make you gross out.

Laurend, could you just strain it? If you like the shake I mean.
I really don't like the flavor enough to go to the trouble of straining it. It's just not good.

I haven't tried that one yet, but their Roadside Lemonade is gross. The Apple Ecstasy and Strawberry-Kiwi flavors aren't too bad, if you like very sweet, candy-flavored things.
