  1. expect sheer terror, mahem, panic and fear that will rip your eye balls from your sockets...haha....only kidding. i was banded back in December and just had my third fill and its not bad at all. my doctor can numb the area but i chose not to since it doesnt hurt bad at all. yes its a little uncomfortable and mine makes me go in full liquids for three days which is tough but i like it because it kickstarts my weightloss again. Last Friday i got a fill and i am down another 7lbs since then. You will do fine...good luck!
  2. raises hand....pick me!!! pick me!!! haha. I hear ya on what your going through and i am sorry your husband left you. you will find someone again and be happy again. keep your head up!
  3. well when i got my surger back in December the doc said no hanky panky for atleast 6 weeks....and honestly i really wasnt in the mood right after surgery. What your feeling is normal and your wife's insecurity has to stop good luck.

  6. well lucky for you your wife will be taking this journey with you. this is not a regret but it takes a lot of work, so your going through a struggle now to get the band...but a little bit of a struggle each day will persist fighting to make the right food choices. So by no means is this easy or a quick way out. But no it is certainly not a regret.
  7. mixed drinks yes but remember empty calories.
  8. well there is good news and bad news...the purpose of the pre-op diet is two fold. 1) the doctor needs you to shrink your fatty liver so he doesnt damage it when he moves it out of the way to get at your stomach to apply the band. 2) the second part is to see for yourself if you are able to follow orders(this part i see you have failed) but dont be alarmed. you can still get this under control. The bad part about this is you wont know if you caused your surgery to be delayed until after you wake up. the doctor will put you out and go in there and may see that your liver is still too fatty and sew you back up and proceed to tell you that he was not able to do it. I hope this doesnt happen to you but it has happened. I wish you good luck!!!
  9. for me the only thing i crave right now is the plain m&ms.......i hate it and its causing me to plateau bigtime. i am frustrated. i never liked them before my band haha.
  10. plus your not suppose to drink carbonated drinks, it could stretch out the pouch. I think you are in desperate need of a meeting with your nutritionist. i wish you luck!!!
  11. AGREED!!! Rock em!
  12. haha do you think you can talk to my wife and give her the same idea!!! HAHA:tongue_smilie:
  13. De ja vu i just asked this similar question yesterday under general lapband support. Check out my thread. lots of good info there.
  14. excellent thanks all. i have yet to have one or get stuck(knock on wood) but now i know what it means.
  15. but what does PB stand for? peanut butter yes i know to you smart a$$es haha. Puke B----- i just cant get what it stands for.
  16. Excellent thanks. I will try that. oh when you going to put some pics up luluc?? haha:biggrin:
  17. ok so you recommend that if i hiccup i should just stop eating right there?
  18. I know it has something to do with burping i think...my issue is i dont know how to burp. I know when i am eating to fast is i get hiccups. Is this bad? Any clarification on the acronyms would help. :smile2:
  19. Dont feel discouraged. I had aetna and went though this. It all depends on your BMI now. Mine was 40.1 so they wanted me to just maintain during my 6 month diet monitoring which was easy to do.
  20. matalo how much weight have you lost? plus do you get your 64 oz of Water in?
  21. ok then i stand corrected. congrats on your surgery. I just get weary by seeing someone with 3 posts and sounding like a sales pitch haha.
  22. I always get kinda irked by posts like this. How do we know your even real? you could be someone from Dr. Zapata's office trying to sell his services. Well if you are real welcome if not i wish you would stop because this kind of advertising is just sad. my 2 cents.
  23. I am in Keller. Where are you guys having your surgery done? I was at Baylor Southwest. Dr Barnes was my surgeon.
  24. quick question....you had a pb because of something you did right? Not chew well? eating too fast? If i were you i would keep the dinner plans and just hang out with everyone there and fill up on soup before you go.
  25. this is what i saw when i was researching a fill: Good vid shows the process. And no it doesnt hurt...only a small pinch then you have to drink some Water to see if you keep it down. If you puke thats a bad thing.
