  1. Hello! I had my 1st fill on 4/27. My question is: How long does the soreness around the port area last after fills? It's true what I've read, you don't really feel a whole lot of restriction with your 1st fill. But I'm satisfied with my results
  2. I was a week late. Body changes, I agree. I'm cramping, don't know what's normal and what's not normal anymore. First recovery was from the gas pains and back aches, then bad constipation and blockage, right after that my menstrual came. I hope this discomfort goes away soon.
  3. What about mixed drinks?
  4. How long after surgery does one have to wait before having a beer?
  5. I forgot to thank you again for your responses and advise.
  6. Thank you. I will try the psyllium husk powder. Hopefully this will loosen the stool that is stuck (sorry, I know that's gross for me to include). I really do believe it's the Protein we are taking in. Dr already has me eating cottage cheese, tuna, Beans, chicken and other stuff. I've tried Benefiber, but after drinking it, I feel like I can't breath. Parrothead Cathy - I'm 4 weeks post op.
  7. I wasn't sure I could do that. Thanks.
  8. Have any of you suffered from bad constipation? I've talked to my dr about it and he suggested I take Mineral Oil and eat alot of Jello. I'm going on 5 days now and nothing yet. It's stuck and it don't want to come out. Saturday will be 4 weeks post op. HELP!
  9. Today, my hair dresser gave me a scare. She told me her boss just had emergency surgery due to 3 hernias she developed within the 2 years of having the band. Has anyone had the band longer than 4 years? and have you had any complications? I have an appt with my doctor on Monday, so I will ask him if this can happened.
  10. Thank you. Appreciate all of your responses. :smile2:
  11. I'm going on 3 weeks since the surgery and still experiencing some soarness/burning sensation around the port area. When I touch around the area I feel a burning sensation. Is anyone still experiencing this?
  12. Thank you Gus Gus. Your and everyone else's response is very helpful.
  13. I didn't meet with a Nutrisionist before or after my sugery. The office coordinator gave me lots of recepies and reading material. But I didn't find any information on how much I should eat or a schedule to follow. Dr said I could start eating tuna, cottage cheese and beans this weekend, just not sure how much. And do you continue drinking the protein drinks?
  14. I'm experiencing the same thing and the doctor told me the exact same thing as rockingmom. Muscles are healing.
