  1. I had a BMI of 40.1 and only comorbidity was mild sleep apnea and I qualified with Aetna. You should be fine!! GOOD LUCK!!
  2. ok because my BMI was 40.2 i was told to just maintain. So i went each month and met with the nutritionist and learned the steps that would help me while having the band but I was told just to start eating as healthy as i could(which didnt mean squat because I was on my farewell tour of all the fastfood places outthere). But every month for weigh-in i stayed steady. This is all they are looking for. They dont want to see you drop 20 lbs because then the insurance company will say....hey they dropped 20 lbs making changes we dont need surgery for this person they can lose the weight on their own. So my advice is be honest with the nutritionist and I wish you good luck!! My 6 month pre-op diet was a breeze.
  3. How big? Don't know what your body looks like. Its a tough call. I would get it on the back of your neck if you have long hair you can cover it if ya want.
  4. oh man please do not use them!! I used them for my dental surgery and you will end up paying double in the end for the surgery. as far as credit limit extension it is based on how well your credit score is. How short are you?
  5. Ok no file just POPS up on the screen of any pc. in order for a picture to open up you have to click on it. so this means she was snooping and found something...its her problem not his.
  6. wow...if i could get her number....HAHAHAHAHAHA
  7. yea and your going to have white poop for a few days after the test haha.
  8. wow....because of this thread i love my wife even more. she doesnt get bothered by pictures or invade my privacy by hacking into my email account reading my emails....i feel bad for your husbands(not being mean or attacking some of you women) but men have to have their own releases in life. pictures are pictures and threatening to leave for him downloading pictures is just sad....wow....just pictures. now if he met these women and got physical then yea kick him to curb and move on....but pictures? Now there is no way Jessica Alba is going to come knocking on my door but i love her pictures...is that wrong? my 2 cents. :w00t:
  9. HAHA I found my Ab workout buddy!!!!
  10. hahaha too funny!!!!
  11. WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! your saying your eating normal only 1 week after surgery?? Be careful you do not hurt yourself. I was on 4 week liquid diet then 2 weeks of mushies after my surgery. You have to give your stomach time to heal before you start eating solids. I am shocked your surgeon did not tell you this.
  12. This may be more mental then physical. My weightloss surgery center has a psychologist on site to help with this sort of thing. If yours does i suggest you go see them. 70lbs down is nothing to sneeze at. Your doing great!! But you shouldnt be feeling hungry all the time if you have restriction. I wish you good luck. Now lets get back to your title...that was hilarious!! you grabbed my attention!! HAHHA
  13. oh come on!!! you got to post pics!!! HAHAHA you peaked my interest!!:confused::confused:

do you mind listing what you do for exercise? Also what do you usually eat?
  15. got ya...ok cool i am halfway to onederland!!!
  16. ok two questions: 1) What is Onederland? 2) If i assume Onederland is your goal weight then why go for a fill so close to your goal? do you want to be lower than your goal? Either way congratulations on your success!!! keep it up!
  17. well i have Aetna and they covered my surgery with the only co-morbidity of sleep apnea. my BMI at time of surgery was 40.1. I wish you luck and you should go for it!!! good luck!!!
  18. everyone is different. for me if i start to get hunger pains i drink my water and i don't feel hungry anymore. I am drinking my 64oz of water a day. i am also on a strict 900-1000 calorie diet a day. i use www.fitday.com and plan my day ahead of time of what I am going to eat....it is a godsend!!!
  19. I got my band 12/3/08 and as of today I am down 45 lbs. I have hit a plateau the last two weeks. Well today I signed up for www.fitday.com and entered in all that I ate today and boy was I mistaking. I thought i was well below the 900-1000 calories per day. Man my eyes were opened today because the calories really stack up!!!!! below is what I ate today. I got to cut back. I have been exercizing and i guess i was just burning off the extra calories. food Name Amount Unit Cals Fat (g) Carbs (g) Prot (g) Delete Total 1,428 72.9 126.8 66.5 banana, raw cupcup, mashedcup, slicedoz yieldsslicesmall (6" to 6-7/8" long)extra small (less than 6" long)medium (7" to 7-7/8" long)extra large (9" or longer)large (8" to 8-7/8" long)linear inchgramskglboz105 0.4 27.0 1.3 White potato cuplarge (3" to 4-1/4" dia, raw)medium (2-1/4" to 3" dia, raw)small (1-3/4" to 2-1/4" dia, raw)gramskglboz129 3.0 24.2 2.1 Beef, rib, whole (ribs 6-12), separable lean and fat, trimme... ozlbgramskglboz403 35.9 0.0 18.3 Corn, yellow cupgramskglboz103 1.3 21.1 2.7 Tortilla, flour (wheat) surface inchlarge tortilla (approx 10" dia)medium tortilla (approx 8" dia)small tortilla (approx 6" dia)tortilla (approx 12" dia)tortilla (approx 4" dia)tortilla (approx 7" dia)gramskglboz318 7.9 52.4 8.5 chicken cup, cooked, dicedoz, boneless, cookedoz, boneless, raw (yield after cooking)oz, with bone, cooked (yield after bone removed)oz, with bone, raw (yield after cooking, bone removed)cubic inch, boneless, cookedlarge piece (yield after cooking, bone removed)medium piece (yield after cooking, bone removed)medium slice (approx 2" x 1-1/2" x 1/4")small piece (yield after cooking, bone removed)thick slice (approx 2" x 1-1/2" x 3/8")thin slice (approx 2" x 1-1/2" x 1/8")gramskglboz202 11.5 0.0 23.0 cheese cupcubic inchslicegramskglboz168 12.9 2.3 10.7 Total 1,428 72.9 126.8 66.5
  20. do the band....forget the marriage!! HAHA only kidding. yea thats a tough call...you will still be on liquids then and you will be run down. plus traveling on your honeymoon(you didnt mention if you are going on one) may be tough. Good luck!! I wish you the best on both occasions!
  21. because your stomach may swell after a fill...and if you go straight to solids and throw up your stomach will swell even more and you may require a complete unfill. so best to follow doctors orders. hope this helps :tongue2:
  22. sounds like its fill time....you may be eating more then you should be at this point......its not really your fault. i too am in bandster hell with a plateau.
  23. luluc and heathero always have the best things to say. very insightful and I love reading their posts. very well said. as far as bethfromva...good luck to ya.
  24. You took this journey not your DH. So wishing he would stop is not fair to him. You can not expect them to stop living their lives. You have to keep being strong willed and say no i will not eat that. Stay strong and keep doing the right things and your band will be a success.
