  1. Yes, TY for posting it. It does have some very important info.
  2. I am only "fearful" because that is what my doc told me.
  3. I didn't lose any weight before my surgery. I was told not to. I have not done any exercise program yet. The guy called in, said he has been eating more, so that is why he gained weight.
  4. Lots of info in this video. TY for posting this. I can't wait for 4 more days. I see my docs for my 6 month follow up. I have LOTS of ?'s for them.
  5. Good to know that you are almost 1 yr. I thought I could eat them by then without a problem. Maybe I can?
  6. What do you mean by "slider" foods?
  7. My hubby bought me some Lentil spaghetti to try. I am kinda leery about it.
  8. Wow, I never thought of it like that. I am looking fwd to having real pasta soon. I am craving it. Of course, I know I will only be able to eat a little without getting full.
  9. I also mixed in nuts as I progressed. I have NEVER heard of mixing shredded carrots into oatmeal.
  10. Good luck. I had mine 8/24/20, and wish I had done it sooner.
  11. Yeah, he recently asked me if I was gonna leave him for a younger model? I just laughed. We have been together for 25 yrs. I have never seen this side of him before. It is so weird to see that he is so insecure.
  12. They told me the reason is that pasta, rice, and bread all expand in your belly. What kinds of carbs did you eat? Everything?
  13. I had an awful time with the protein shakes/drinks. It all tasted so bad to me. Left a weird after taste in my mouth.
  14. Oh good to know. I was going to order some, but wasn't sure if it would taste good or not.
  15. HealthyLifeStyle replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
    TY very much!
  16. Ok thanks. Please keep me updated after the 2nd one.
  17. Yes, I agree with @BigSue and @ms.sss it is def time to have that convo.
  18. I still don't eat many carbs. I am close to 6 months post op. I find that I do not miss them that much. I was a big carb eater. Mostly pasta, and bread. I do crave for pasta, but on a suggestion from here, just bought some lentil spaghetti to try. There are other healthy options out there. You just have to find them. As far as protein goes, I add chickpeas to just about everything. Good Luck.
  19. Oh ok thanks for letting me know. I know we are all different. If I took that much Tylenol, I would be so sick.
  20. I am very nervous about it. Both of my parents, in their 70's refused to get it. They think I am crazy to get it, but my doctor highly recommends it for me because of my health issues.
