  1. A few people have suggested the Shirataki noodles. I may just have to try them. I have to stay away from anything "white", as I does not digest well.
  2. Before surgery I ate a LOT out of boredom. Hubby was always working, and I was home alone. I also had a clean the plate household. It really does mess with being full or not.
  3. Yea, I would like to think that he would think that way.
  4. I tried the PB2, and thought it was awful. I only tried it a few times toward the beginning of my post op. Maybe I will try it again.
  5. Good idea with the hot cocoa, I don't drink coffee either.
  6. Wow thanks for those great ideas. I can never think of anything different.
  7. HealthyLifeStyle replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
TY, and yes she has recovered fully.
  8. My hubby hasn't said anything about my boob loss. He was never a big boob guy.
  9. I don't wear bras anymore either, unless I am going somewhere. I wear shelf bra cami's. They are so comfortable.
  10. I thought mine was a big difference. I am seeing that its not compared to a lot of you.
  11. Wow that is a big difference! Your back, neck, shoulders must be thankful. LOL
  12. I have gone from a 44D to a 36C. Maybe that is why hubby keeps asking me about halter tops....LOL
  13. Skinny syrup? I never thought of adding that to a protein shake. Thanks for the tip.
  14. OUch, it sounds like a very painful recovery. I get that you didn't listen to the doctors. I know someone who had this surgery. They also had a very hard time with recovery. It makes me a bit nervous.
  15. Is everyone still drinking protein drinks after 6 months post op? I am not sure if we are supposed to keep drinking them, or just get protein from our food now. If you are still doing the drinks, have you switched things up? If so, what did you do differently?
  16. I was lactose intolerant before surgery. I could at least drink Lactaid milk. Now after surgery, I find that even if I have a little bit of Lactaid milk, I feel sick, and get incredibly bloated. I did try the Almond milk, but do not care for it. Also, at 4-5 months out, I could eat cottage cheese. Now almost 6 months out, having a hard time with it. Weird?
  17. Well congrats on tomorrow. It is worth it. Just keep thinking positive. You'll be fine.
  18. Oh I can see the difference. Did it hurt a lot after the surgery? How long did it take to heal? I am thinking of doing this.
  19. My head hunger is real. I can eat my little bit of food, be so full, and keep thinking that I want more. Maybe a cookie, or brownie, or pc of cake. Something that I would have eaten before surgery. Something I know I can not eat know. Something loaded with sugar. Like real ice cream. I was a huge ice cream fan, and used to eat it everyday. I also used to eat candy everyday. I would love some chocolate right now. I know if I even attempt to eat these things, I will just feel sick, and guilty. Not sure which one is worse at this point.
  20. That is great!! I also remember (not that long ago), when I hit the 1's I was exactly 199, but it felt so good not to see the 2's anymore. It is such a great accomplishment. Have fun on your vaca.
  21. My sister is the one giving me crap about my surgery. She has always been skinny, and I was always chubby. When she saw me at Christmas time, I had lost about 60-65 lbs. She never said one word about my weight loss. Finally, my mom asked her how did she think I looked. Her response, though she barely looked at me, was "Oh maybe I will have to give her all my clothes that are too big for me now". She said in a very sarcastic way. Then she said, "I guess its easy to lose weight when you can just have a simple surgery, and cheat your way out of it." Then she continued to talk crap about how most people can just go on a diet, not eat so much food, and lose weight if they really had to. OMG, now I was getting mad! She knew I had to have the surgery due to being a severe diabetic. The weight loss was a bonus. When it came time to eat dinner, all I could eat was a little bit of food, and then she made a wise ass comment about that. We have never been close, but this was a slap in the face. I haven't talked to her since, and don't really want to.
  22. I lost 75 lbs. I have always carried most of my weight in my belly. I am top heavy, and always had small legs, and ass. My belly still sticks way out, and now my legs are even skinnier, and I have no ass at all. I have lost weight in weird places. My neck area looks weird because you can see my bones, also in my back, and shoulder area. But guess what.....I still have a big belly. I hope it goes away soon. I have to wear larger pants just for my belly, and then they are big everywhere else. People lose differently. All we can do is just wait to see what happens. When I look in the mirror straight on, I think I look ok, but when I turn to the side, UGGGHHHH.
  23. I am close to 6 months out, and I dump all the time. I don't eat anything if the sugar is over 15g. I still dump. If I eat one bite too many, I dump. It seems like no matter what I do, I dump. It is ridiculous at this point, and very frustrating. I see my doctor on Tuesday for the 6 month follow up. I have so many ?'s
  24. So I would say that this may be something similar. He is there supporting me, but he is also trying to lose weight on his own. He is not a candidate for the surgery. He only has to lose about 30 lbs. I am not looking fwd. to the nicer weather, wearing less clothing. He does get very aggravated if another man compliments me, or even looks at me. He usually won't say anything, but I can see it. I compliment him all the time. He is a very sharp dresser for work. I always tell him how nice he looks, smells good, etc. Make sure I give him a kiss goodbye, and hello when he gets home. He knows he has nothing to worry about.
