  1. Teach your kids to eat healthy - My 19 yr old has dropped 75 pounds in 6 months. Happens once you get those first boobies in your life. He was on of the major reasons i did the surgery! There is not a chance in hell i would let me kids do this surgery. Now since he went Cross Train Nuts and healthy my younger is following: and Mom is under control with her carb cooking and Serving sizes managed. Since they live with me full time they get a healthy meal every day, For example went fishing yesterday I have a good amount of a good food to feed them. You cant find a box or bag of any processed food in my house, and to me that was the problem. I just wish i would have done this 5 years back but better we 3 are on the right track. My two are dang mini adults and there is no way they could make this decision let alone younger ones.
  2. You hit the Nail on the head - You are killing yourself now- Plus It is not that risky a surgery. You don't need support - ITS YOUR FREAKIN LIFE do what you want - You will not get a lot of support from Family and friends if you read this site its very common to be in that situation. I have seen posts like this for months now and the bottom line, Its your body, your life, and it seems to be messing with your head. So you have made the best decision of your life, what others think is irrelevant, If you follow your own statement above nobody can stop you, You need support come here or find someone else who has done it and knows the struggle you will go thru. This was the best decision I ever made and I do feel way more healthy and as for confidence ...... off the scale, My kids said i cheated, i have full custody, My X who is large feels i did it to spite her, when in reality it was here lifestyle that was partially to blame, Carbs, sugar and stress. So like you i said F#$ck em all this is my life and my decision. Never regretted my decision and I doubt i ever will, I miss things like drinking allot, Pizza, Chicago food, but i had a 52 year good run, Now things have changed, and change is good
  3. That's it I am ordering the Jane Fonda Workout Videos Today. Does anyone have one of those little boards they played with and where to do you get 70's tights for men!
  4. I agree with you Like Mom said - Eat right and you will be healthy. The only problem is I played way to hard so going to take a while. With only 22 pounds to go Not really worried anymore about the weight - Have to get there soon because my kids are going to kill me if i don't end this Party. Not sure if you saw my post but i refuse to buy new clothes or get a hair cut till i hit my weight. I look like a Homeless guy. Doing it just to have fun, Have not had long hair for years, Kinda funny. Girlfriend is supporting the party time but refuses to go out in public, Good I cant eat out anyhow, She is a great doctor and she is the one who switched me from focusing on the weight to Focus on Nutrition and the weight will just happen. Who knows maybe all the bangs, bruises and medical defects will fix over time. - Nothing to loose at this point.
  5. LOL If it works it works - Guy was funny as hell
  6. All liquid and purreed soups - Going to be a long week but it is worth it - Once you get the surgery you will be on the same diet for a short time. My suggestion is to get a Nutra blender or some sort of machine that will turn soup into liquid - Stock up you do not want to have to go to the store - You can do pudding and some jellow and cottage cheese. But 50 hours before surgery go straight broth or liquids. BTW this change in diet and your nerves will begin to mess with your head, stay focused, Best decision i have every made- Here is the tip that will make your life great GET OUT OF BED AS SOON AS YOU CAN AFTER THE SURGERY, MOVE, SIP WATER, MOVE, TAKE THE DRUGS, MOVE, WALK, SIP, WALK. THE FASTER YOU GET THE AIR OUT THE BETTER. reach out here anytime most of us have learned what not to do.
  7. I did a 10 program - if you look at my post i did a layout - I hired a Nutritionist and i also us a app for calories, Bottom line is I don't eat very much, Just don't feel like eating. I will say that i lost 10 pounds during the fast but after bumped back 3. I think it was water weight. My average is 200 calories a day and most days I just do shakes or veggies smoothies. I beat the hell out of myself for 52 years so really focusing on the Vitamins and health end of it with conjunction of the weight loose. I slip a lot with the vodka but the food thing is easy to me. I think they yanked all the hunger nerves out of me when they took my 85% of my stomach. I also Hate water so this is a major problem for me, I drink the protein waters and i convert water to some sort of flavor drops. I.m a big dude and and I am lucky if i get in 30 oz of water a day, I know that is bad but it makes me feel like hell and blots me. My main liquid is the real low calorie sports drinks or baby drinks I will say once you get the nutrition end under control you will never feel better. Something weird happened i went in to get a eye exam, Been 3 years. My eyes have improved? Not sure if the nutrition had anything to do with it but they really improved. So to wrap up the question: I think the 10 day flush is priceless and i do think it moves your body to healthy and starts the body burning again, but i am not a doctor just saying it was worth it to me
  8. Its water - Do not weigh yourself every day - you will end up in a rubber room - Set a goal for the week. The damm head games are the worse part of this surgery - You got this
  9. I would not be to concerned about the fat free - but be careful dont get crazy on creams or thick stuff - My savor was my nutria bullet - I would take vegetable soup or thin soups and blast them to liquid, It is really hard to find a fat free soups - Try and stay away from the Cans of soups - I found Whole foods to have a good variety of soups that you can puree. My savor was pudding
  10. Gotta Admit the above statement is dead on - also make sure you are sleeping, The pain will go I had the ride from hell with pain, But it did end and life is great
  11. NOPE - You are having air pains and like it says in this site a billion times It is a head game, and also are you consuming eneogh water - are you on a routine
  12. Seems like you are on course I have not lost consistently - I really feel you should not do the weigh thing daily - I weigh myself each Sunday once a week and shoot for 4 pounds a week = 208 pounds in a year! The main reason I am doing that is to not look like a shrinky dink with the skin and also I have been told it is easier
  13. July 19 also 345 then 269 now
  14. Gotta Feel good Be there by December -
  15. i have vowed to look like a homeless guy till i hit my goal weight - clothes are baggy and huge and Havin fun doing it - Driving my two kids nuts - Its fun to put on a 4x shirt now. I use a belt to try and hold on my shorts down from a 50 to a 42 so that is fun also/ Also in the spirit have decided to not get a haircut till i hit the goal weight. So you guys like to shop I am doing the opposite and having a good time at it
  16. AJ Tylo replied to a post in a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Cash i did it in a 2 week - Not sure on insurance but someone will jump in
  17. Same as you - I just did a ten day fast/cleanse. My doctor said eat when you want but if you don't eat it will slow down your weight lose. I find him to be wrong i go days without eating. My key is my shakes with all the powder vitamins and minerals - 5 oz in the morning and i gotta force the night one down, sometimes just take a pill for the vitamins and call it a day. Curious to see how people post on this I am in the same situation
  18. She is right one Low Cal high - High Protien - NO CARBS OR PROCESSSED FOOD Here is my view If you can catch it, shot it, pick it, or grow it - carb free - yourself eat it - Do a search for fluffy chick she has a great post on the foods to eat
  19. The gas is the Devil - You have to keep moving and flushing out your body with water - I choose to not eat much and lived on purified soup You will test the boundaries like everyone here most likely did - DO NOT touch any food that expands like bread, pasta or in general a carb. I had issues with heartburn if you do get the medicine from your doctor ASAP. Also i learned this the hard way, do not drink anything prior to bedtime, about a hour. Once you lay down if the water is flushing around with the surgery blood in your stomach you are in for a ugly scene and major Heartburn. During that first few weeks keep it simple and go light on food and focus on the soups or brothes. It took me about 8 days to get to pudding. I lived on pudding jellos and pureed soups for 15 days. Trust me on this you test it with to solid of a food and its game on. The number one issue is the Head games! Getting you head on straight is a b***h, Feel free to ask here and read the hell out of this place every post has a hidden secret, from Sex, food, Pain, Emotions, etc. Until your ready for a balanced daily routine you have to master the protein shakes and vitamins and minerals. Sounds easy but it is not. Balancing out your Calories, Vitamins and minerals is hard to do. If you can afford it i would suggest you get a nutritionist like i did, best money i spent. Good luck and reach out if you need anything = This place is loaded with great people and great help and suggestions
  20. This is the key - You are changing your life for the better - The Head Games are a b***h
  21. BEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE - YOU WILL HAVE A LITTLE ROUGH TIME BUT ONCE YOU GET THRU IT - YOU WILL WONDER WHY YOU WENT THRU LIFE THE OTHER WAY BTW: get up as fast as you can and walk them hospital hallways, the more you move the faster the air moves out - trust me on this Good luck and congratulations
  22. See above Fluffy always Nails it - Just to add i eat a ton of retried homemade beans, mixed with a chick peas and vitamins powders added.
  23. All good not trying to wind you up - I see the struggle but enjoy your life, Stress Took me into NCH Cardiac ward a few years ago. Not a chance in hell I am stressing or struggling again. Stay positive Not every glass is half empty there has to be some full ones around. Your kids need you stress free and sane, Did not mean to piss you off -
  24. Its called head games and Im sure fluffy is going to post on this. My view as a Male 1. One there is no Debtors prison so who cares about Money! do what you can 2. You made the decision to get the surgery - Enjoy it and run with it - Make it a good thing 3. You did not slip - a Few dang pickles are not going to kill you - Now get out of bed get some sunshine and enjoy your dang life - There are a lot of real world issues that are way worse then a few pickles The Head Games is the worse part of this surgery - Fluffy will jump in on this
  25. Since this whole surgery thing i have found it fun to test and figure out different things to do. How to cook ..... Vitamins and Minerals .... and now the cleanse Had a blood work up a few weeks back and finally got all the vitamins and minerals up to snuff. So the next thing was to cleanse all the chemicals out of my body - Background: Vodka, Nicotine, and Garbage food for 45 years and all that soaked into the body fat! So after a ton of research and plan from a Nutritionist the plan was ready to go. heck would be easy after prep for surgery and 4 months of eating like a bird. Plan - For 10 days only consume protein shakes with Vitamins and Minerals along with body cleansing potion. Body Cleansing Potion: You will find a ton of them to buy at Amazon, I decided to make my own! I am culinary Skilled so i made a gallon! I suggest you make your own You can mix up the veggies and Minerals each day. Plus you get to buy those weird veggies you had not clue what they were? 10 Day results 1 thru 3 - Not much different - Never Hungry anyhow so No hunger but definitely feel sluggish 3-5 = Game on time all of a sudden you can really tell you are getting flushed, Skin is happy, Energy level is good, Just feel Great 5-8 = Extreme flush is in order - Taking in 200G of protein and every dang vegetable and mineral thru a food processor in Juice form that Whole foods has . (Not really but about 4 different weird veggies a day - Rotating them) - Gallon of water a day 8-10 Wind it down time start limiting the flush and keep the healthy Veggie Drinks - The outcome was amazing lost a chunk of weight but the biggest thing is your body has been cleansed and recharged. Going to do this every 8 months - The feeling of being so clean and recharged is amazing. THE KEY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY - YOU CAN NOT EAT A SINGLE FOOD THIS IS A LIQUID JUICE ONLY. NOTHING MADE IN A BOTTLE OR CAN OR BOX HERE ARE THE FRUIT AND VEGETABLE JUICE COMBINATIONS BELOW: I used these as the base and added about 3 or 4 Just mix up all the stuff from the Produce are using these as the base. My Main base was always pinapple or bannana for taste adding fake sugar to help taste. You only need 4oz at a time 4 times a day so easy to slam down Drink Your Greens: Spinach, Cucumber, Celery, Lemon, Ginger, and Apple (optional: parsley) The Detoxifier: Beets, Carrots, Lemon, Ginger, Apple The Vision: Carrots, Oranges, Ginger (optional: turmeric) Sweet Carrot: Apples, Carrots, and Parsley
