  2. Mine was Being a single Dad and raising two teanagers while sitting in my office at 10:00 am and fell over out of the chair, Unable to get a breath and dizzy as hell, My office staff got me into a truck and to the ER that is only about a mile away. I had been on a rough time losing a good friend who died in his sleep, and stress big time. It took a healthy dose of morphine to calm me down, 4 Nitro Hits to get my heart to slow down, and bags of IV fluid to get me Hydrated. 40 years of playing hard, Drinking and Stress led to 99% blockage of the widow maker! Off To the NCH Cardio Ward and in 5 days felt 25 again, But i got way to close to 400 pounds and it took a good look in the mirror and one simple question Keep Playing hard and who is going to finish raising these kids? or get healthy! Never been healthy or happier
  3. Yea right your not here with the rest of us because you anorexic or bolemick - I am sure non of us have every lost 10 pounds to never gain it back. My view Not a chance in hell i would loose over 100 pounds in 4 months if i could still slamm vodka eat at happy hour and live my old lifestyle. Also its nobody's business what you decide you are doing this for yourself and only yourself,
  4. Enjoy the excitement - You are making the best decision for the right reasons! Reach out and read the posts around here, Nobody was not nervous So you are normal, Great Journey and better then any vacation i have had,
  5. Sent this to my Doctor Friend - I was losing my hair pre op but wanted to search, They are rough on the tummy and it appears to not be a good choice for us little stomach club members, Doing more research cuz vitamins and minerals and supplements are my thing. Thanx for the information will keep you informed.
  6. It goes away about 4 weeks - Keep it clean and use CBC lotion kills the pain
  7. Here i go again being brutally Honest You have made the decision for yourself and Do not count on the support from those around you, THey do not understand, Really read all the posts on support and how people change and view your decision post op. But F@#ck em, this is your decision and you will be very happy and confident with your decision, The journey has its bumps and road blocks, You need to be a ice queen and Be out for yourself, Support is here, and hopefully you get some support at home, but it is you! and only you that is going to plow thru this - I went at it the wrong way and really Fubared it up post op. Read my post, But now Nothing stopping me Best decision of my life for sure
  8. This is a life long journey - and this is the place to get the information - My advice is once you decide to live healthy and happy and fat free, The surgery is a great option. However with any good thing comes a bumpy rough road, Most of the problems are in your head, The mental beating you take with this surgery is rough, Read the long post i have in archives, You must be ready and you have to understand it is a life long journey 100;s of us have posted it is the best decision we every made, I choose to live longer and healthy then at my age go down fast due to the weight, Like you i carried it well, but I am 4 months in and never been happier! To me it was the best decision ever
  9. You have changed your diet big time and most likely have shocked your body, I have seen post on this in this forum before - I would seek medical advise something is triggering it
  10. Here you go again = You are not balanced and draining yourself = I have been there so has a ton of us, I agree with everyone above and Up it all if you can, I have the same issue with food it just does not work well, So i use a huge amounts of vitiamins and supplements. The supplements are the key they give me the energy and minerals for fuel. You are low on gas, so fill up quickly with fuel. If you have a nutra bullet make yourself some strong heavy smoothies, pack them full of minerals and fuel. You do that for 3 days and you will see a huge change in your body and feelings. It is hard nobody is saying it is not but once you get balanced you will feel better
  11. You can mix it up - after the first two weeks you can eat soups and soft liquid foods - Use a nutra bullet and purreed foods - I choose to buy baby food also was a good simple escape from the doctors list AJ
  12. Yesterday saw the Doc and all cleared my 4 month check up - So I may end my looking like a homeless dude attitude, For those of you who did not see a post a few months back i decided to not buy new clothes or get a hair cut till i lost 80 pounds. Did this to have fun with this journey and aggravate my two teenage boys. Been a fun ride and looking forward to the last 25=30 pounds = However I am starting to notice I am getting way to small from the waste down - Getting legs like a chicken? WTF - May be due to all the exercise i do is bike, elliptical and dog walking. Any suggestions on balancing out the weight loss, Insane problem but gotta fix this dang issue now also -
  13. I would focus on the after surgery now and get your mind off it - They do this stuff every day - The surgery was no big deal - Once completed you will be on the best journey of your life Enjoy the good news and plan do not worry about the rest - Let it happen and all will be good
  14. I bought a dog and cover SW Florida with him, I have found the biking is the best for me - I seem to burn more on it then my elliptical machine, however i live in Florida so Snow my be problem for some of you
  15. Nice - keep it up - But the guys have the advantage in this fatty removal proccess - We loose it faster #guysmetooloosefaster Enjoy the journet
  16. Head games are going on- We all have been there the stalls are common, switch it up a little - Try more water less food - then different foods, The stall will pass, if you search here you will see 100s of post on stalls, I broke mine doing a 10 day fast of water and supplements only, It broke in 5 days. Do not panic it will break - As for not motivated Why not? You have already lost 47 pounds - Get your ass in gear pound out the rest of them! Then reward yourself - For example i have a reward set once i hit my goal weight to just party my ass off in cuba for 3 days. Of course no food but as a guy just going to kick back and seize the day
  17. Same as above Congratulations and enjoy the journey
  18. Welcome to the Journey - Read read read and will be a great ride,
  19. AJ Tylo replied to a post in a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Best decision of you life - Do not panic it is easy and you will love it
  20. You go in with the butterflies and the chop em out - Once they yank out 85% of you stomach they open it up let the butterflies out and remove all the debris and recycle the metals. In my case they need a 55 gallon drum for 52 years of **** eating and consumption. Found some cool stuff i had lost. No above is not real - So do not panic
  21. Simple thing i was rattled also - As soon as you meet the Anesthesiologist ask him to calm your nerves, he will give you a happy shot that will make you see Elvis! Then its get comfortable wheel you around and before you know it you will be in a room with a Nurse yelling breathe wake up - Wake up Breathe! The worse part for me was the wait till the happy gas came, Just look ahead 5 months and down 65 pounds - that will keep you motivated. I only had a few little cuts the surgery itself was no bid deal - Take this advise: Post surgery put on your cozzy clothes and get out of bed and walk walk walk, Then Sip walk walk walk - The faster you get moving the better the first 7 days are. I had some inside info and was walking the halls about 4 hours after surgery I was released by 9 am the next morning. Key is to get the air and gas moving around in your body. More you move the less pain and discomfort - Plus with the help of morphine NO pain and happy times Congratulations again and will be a great journey
  22. It will break - Been there also - I did a 7 day water and supplements only to break mine - Broke after 5 days - You body is saying NO Mass -
