Anyone else?

  • Popular Post

Hello everyone! I had my VSG done on 11/06. Things are cool so far. I'm just curious did anyone else stare repeatedly/keep going back to the approved foods list their doctor gave them, in hopes it would magically change or hope you'd find something you missed that you could eat? The liquid stage of this is not unbearable but sometimes I'm screaming in my head " if i have to drink one more meal im gonna lose it!" But then i regain myself, drink my shake and continue on haha.

Yes. I'm 7 weeks post op and I still have to drink 1 shake a day to get enough Protein in and I hate it. Loved protien shakes before surgery. Can not stand them now. I also diluted yogurt with milk and ate it. I would strain chicken broth based Soups and drink them as well which helped get me through that 2 week stage. It's just a small price to pay when starting your journey to the new you.

I did the same.....then I always jumped to the next phase before I finished the last

My surgery was 11/4. I'm feeling the same. I'm allowed broths so that helps to break it up a little. Yes, I'm anxiously waiting to go to pureed stage! Stay strong all!

Never thought I'd look forward to 2 ounces of pureed tuna...

Ewwwww--that reminds me of the old SNL skit with Dan Aykroyd of the late night infomercial selling the Bass-O-Matic. (check it out on YouTube if you are too young to know it... You'll either laugh your ass off, or hurl-or both!)

I LIKED John Belushi's Chee- Burger, Chee- Burger but then there I Go,showing my Age Again!

Yep, I'm just 3 days postop and I'm sitting here thinking about chicken lol lol lol. But I have a nice protein shake on side of me so it's all good. We're going to make it through. Stay focused.
