  1. Oh my gosh thank you! Does it really have no taste to it? I got an unflavored one and it definitely has a taste I cant really tolerate anymore. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Hey guys... I just had my one month post OP appointment and my doctor told me I have to get around 90 grams of protein a day. I am currently 25 years old at 311 lbs (33lbs down) and I seriously cannot get all my protein in. I cant get more than 45 a day without feeling like I'm forcing it down. Do you guys have any tips? I really dont want my hair to fall out and I want to do everything I can to make sure I am being successful and I keep trying and trying to get it down and I just cant reach that goal. Every time I watch a YouTube video where someone does their "what I eat in a day 1 month post op" or something, they eat a hell of a lot more than I can and I'm not sure why! Any advice on how to get protein? I wish there was just a pill I could take. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Hi everyone! I am currently 4 weeks post op and was told to start my vitamins this week. I have the bariatric advantage multivitamin chewable and the calcium chewables....to put it bluntly, I hate them. I cant even smell them without gagging. Not to mention the calcium is so spicy on my tongue for some reason. Did anyone else have this issue?? Also, does anyone just take ones that you can swallow? I swallow pills just fine and if that's an option, I would sooo prefer it! Let me know! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Hi there! I lost 9 pounds but was only required to do 1 week. I had a lot of broth (low sodium) and sugar free popsicles. Try to keep your mind busy through it! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Have you been having successful weight loss? It seems you and I are in similar situations. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. So you think the soft stage may be the time to see how many oz I'm eating rather than compare to the pureed stage? I'm still on purees right now... and I can eat more than 4 oz easy. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Yes and I just really hate the taste of it.... I'm just so confused on why I can eat that much... Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Thank you for the response! Yeah... I am still on pureed stage but during liquid I could hardly eat anything..now all of a sudden I'm always hungry. It's worrying me. I want to make sure I'm doing things right and I am frustrated that I feel I can eat more than I should (especially liquids). Once you hit the soft stage, did you full faster? 9. Thank you for the reply. I just always feel hungry and it's frustrating. I know I'm only on purees but I find myself questioning why I can eat a big bowl of soup and still want more. Once I get to soft foods, you think things will be different? Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I had mine February 4th! Things are going okay...still feel as though I'm not sure what I'm doing health-wise...but I'm a worrier...so it may be nothing. I am on the puree stage and still in pain. But 27 lbs down. Just need to get my activity up! How are you?? Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. My nutritionist says that about a half a cup is the size of my stomach so to eat that much or a little less. They were poached eggs because I'm in my puree stage. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Hi everyone, I'm three weeks post op and I wanted to know what a typical portion size is for you. I just had two poached eggs, tbsp of hummus and a table spoon of nonfat cottage cheese...and I still feel like maybe I can eat more. Is this normal? What's a typical portion for you? 17. I felt like that too even though I could hardly eat a thing...once you get to pureed foods... you'll feel full too fast and probably find yourself having to span your meal for hours to get the protein you need. The liquids just mess with your mind! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I used to take B12 years ago as an injection...but doesnt our vitamins have B12 now? Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. Anyone know a good substitute for caffeine that keeps you energized? My surgeon said no caffeine and all I want to do is sleep. Recommendations would be SO helpful!! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I feel you. I've struggled with anxiety and depression all my life and now I feel even more anxious after the sleeve. My doctor told me to go back on fluoxetine, which I plan to do. Hang in there, hopefully itll get better! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. Hi guys, I started my pureed stage (stage 2 in post op) on Monday and I cannot keep anything down. If I take one bite of something that's a thicker consistency than yogurt, I get horrible abdominal spasms and feel as though I may throw up...as well as the feeling that it's stuck in my throat. I am so disheartened because I was looking forward to moving onto the next stage but i cant seem to do it without crying in pain.... to give you a clearer picture: I'll take a bite of the pureed food, wait, and then get a horrible abdominal spasm. Once that stops, it's a constant feeling of food being stuck in my throat or my stomach pushing the food back up. Did anyone else deal with this? I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be great. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I get on with skim milk okay. It seems to stay down not much pain. Thank you for the advice. Definitely gonna try that! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

  24. Hi everyone! I'm currently two weeks post OP after my gastric sleeve surgery and I'm finally getting more protein in. (Thank God) but most of the protein is coming from nonfat Greek yogurt, skim milk, soups...which all seem to have at least 5-6 grams of sugar per serving. Like this morning, I slowly had 1/3rd cup of nonfat Greek yogurt, and a 1/4 cup of Rebbl protein shake with a cup of skim milk...after adding it all up, it was 28 grams of protein but 18 grams of sugar. Now I'm worried. I really want to do this right and not mess up. How many grams of sugar have you been eating a day? Thanks!! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. That's reassuring that I'm not missing out on pureed meats...I'm just having a super hard time with protein shakes. It's been tough..the sweet taste and consistency makes me nauseous so I'm trying to find alternatives.. did you puree the ricotta and cottage cheese? Thanks for the response!
