  1. Could very well be hormonal changes, could be depression. I too suffer from anxiety and depression. I take Lexapro daily and Buspirone as needed for anxiety. I have been surprised and how little I need the anxiety meds since surgery. Please reach out to your doctor just to be safe. HUGS to you!
  2. I was doing KETO before and have continued,. just don't go overboard with the fat. my main staple right now is bacon wrapped asparagus so I'm good! lol
  3. could be the vitamins as well. definitely call your doc!
  4. YEP! this was my go to as well. also lots of tuna and eggs.
  5. I told a few close friends and of course most of the folks at work knew thru the grapevine. I have not told my father or brother and SIL but I'm going home in march so they will def notice a diff. I hope to be down around 50lbs buy then
  6. Knock on wood, I had surgery 121118 and have had no migraines since. They started as a teenager, mostly menstrual, less since menopause but I have a lot of food triggers too and I'm not eating most of those foods.
  7. been having similar issues with my 11yr old special needs kiddo. he has been off his meds for two weeks and super aggressive. I have the bruises to prove it. I gained 3lb last week, my first gain since surgery, and I know it is because I have been stress eating. give yourself a break, take a deep breath and get back in the game mama! you got this!
  8. mine was clear liquids three days, full liquids until 21days out, then purees for two weeks. then they suggest softer foods but I can eat what I want as long as I chew chew chew.
  9. OIKOS triple zero greek has like 2-3 g or sugar and 4 carbs. that is what my doc recommended.
  10. I had my first gain this week. small, only 3lbs, but I know it is because I have veered off track. It is indeed a mental project for me.
  11. I have not had to take nay hormones, after going thru menopause in my late 40's. I probably wouldn't anyway due to high risk for breast cancer in my family. I do however take black cohosh for my hot flashes and have noticed it does not work as well as it used to. I am wondering if the sleeve is keeping e from absorbing it properly?
  12. LOL @ boobs! I too will be having those addressed, as I was a 44DDD prior to surgery.
  13. I have had steady losses but had my first gain this past week. I fear it is because I had Chinese this weekend lol don't worry, it fluctuates wildly at first!
  14. I buy most of my yogurt there because it is less expensive. the oikos triple zero greek is my life right now lol
  15. they told me the goal was to drop 5lbs, I lost 8 so I was good lol
  16. I did not have to do full liquids, but two protein shakes a day and a small midday meal (4ozs). It is hard, but you can do diet juices, flavored waters, etc.
  17. LOL I gotta buy new undies soon! mine keep creeping down as I walk.
  18. working out early on helps with the loose skin initially but if you lose a lot then plastic surgery is the only way to get rid of all of it. some insurances will cover it, but you must document any issues it is causing you so be sure to tell your doc if you have any skin irritations, fungus, chafing, etc. all that goes a long way towards getting it covered.
  19. I could have gone back in a week but took two to be out for Christmas LOL
  20. DO NOT STRESS. Any weight loss is progress. We all lose at different rates. You are doing great!
  21. well I am 52 and went thru menopause 4 yrs ago! thank you goddesssssssss lol I asked my surgeon and she said it is fairly common.
  22. I am in week 9 post op. I noticed it almost immediately but thought it would go back to normal. I just figured it was irritation from tubes/anesthesia etc. I have always had a pretty masculine sounding voice, get called SIR on the phone all the time. it is def more feminine and mellow.
  23. So has anyone noticed that the tone of their voice is different since surgery? I also had a hiatal hernia repair but not sure that would have made a difference? It is weird, like an octave higher than it was.
