  1. Congrats! Keep us posted about how you’re doing post op.
  2. My doctor advised to weigh once a week. Our bodies are constantly changing with fluid levels and such and weights will vary day to day. Always weigh yourself same time of day as well. It is tough though-I’m two weeks post op and I just want to keep seeing that number drop.
  3. Hi matt. I will look into the patches. I have to get my vitamins in. Thanks for the reply.
  4. Hi all. 15 days post op and not tolerating my chewables. Coming right up. Can someone recommend a good multi and good calcium with d that I can swallow? I don’t have trouble swallowing pills. Bought these chewables before surgery. Thanks.
  5. Thanks so much. I do suffer from anxiety and depression. Prior to surgery I weaned off a few meds I was taking for these conditions. I see my md on Saturday. Need to re evaluate need. Thanks for being there. You as well-please reach out if you need someone to talk to. Helps to have someone who understands what you’re going through.
  6. I’ve lost about the same as you. Trying not to be overly vigilant of the scale. I don’t want any added anxiety either. It’s hard enough getting all the Fluids in. Yesterday I didn’t get enough in for sure and I felt weak and didn’t sleep well last night. Drinking more today. I’m also finding that I’m very depressed lately. My emotions have been all over the place since surgery.
  7. Hi thatch....how did you do with the puréed meats? Did they stay down?
  8. Hi all. Had sleeve done July 10th. Getting through full liquids pretty easily. Getting ready to start puréed. Any suggestions for first foods I should try?
  9. Hi. I went to a center for an overnight study. It was a necessity for me because I snore and I was found to have sleep apnea.
  10. I’m bored. I’m having moments of extreme hunger. Have three kids at home I cook for. I wanted chicken nuggets so badly yesterday but I’m having talks with myself and keeping full withh protein shakes, yogurt, cottage cheese, and soups. Boring but looking at the big picture. Tried eggs a couple days ago and they came back up. Hoping to try again this week. I am waiting to see a big change in my shape and notice weight loss-as are the people around me I’m sure. I just have to remember it’s a process. Some people loose really quickly others more slowly. I have to up my exercise game as soon as my soreness eases up a little bit.
  11. I had surgery on July 10th and nap every day. I return to work Tuesday but I work from home thank goodness so I’ll be able to nap at lunch time. Totally normal.
  12. I had my sleeve on July 10th. I’ve lost about 15 lbs. slow and steady.
  13. Hi there. Yes. Full liquids. Tried yogurt. I have to try different soups to give me more variety. I am missing meat. That’s the issue. I want to eat meat and I know that’s not happening.
  14. Hi all. Needing a little encouragement or an idea for some new food to try. I’ve been managing with my protein drinks, sugar free ice pops, cottage cheese, soups (broth). I saw the doc for my 7 day post op visit on Tuesday and he said to try egg. I did and threw it up. I think I ate too much. I’m bored of what I’m eating and feeling depressed about it today. Can anyone give me some ideas? Is it going to get better?
