  1. Glad I found a buddy up this way! Thanks for reaching out! ?keep moving forward and losing weight before the procedure.
  2. Keep my contact information and contact me when you need. I’d like to know how you are feeling as you get closer to surgery. And I’d of course like to hear from you after surgery.

  4. Any time. You’re welcome. Keep in touch. Have faith in dr malhoutra and your surgical team. They were so fantastic. Knew exactly what to do. The nurses were great too. You’ll do great!
  5. Good for you! You kept going which is what matters.
  6. You will need to rest for a while after surgery. I took two weeks off of work.
  7. Oh wow. Three girls. My youngest boy is 14.
  8. No. I am not working at ORMC. I work from home.
  9. Yes. I did the liver shrinking diet.
  10. Yeah. Don’t go over board buying. Buy some jello. You’ll want that. And sugar free ice pops.
  11. It’s ok to be nervous. Use me as a buddy. I’ll walk you through it. Keep my contact info. Maybe someday we can meet up. I am a 49 year old mom of three boys and a registeres nurse btw.
  12. Before surgery I drank the premier protein shakes but after surgery my stomach can’t tolerate them. Also need crystal lite to add to water. I don’t like the taste of regular water anymore for some reason.
  13. I didn’t do the liquid vitamins. I bought the multivitamin with iron on bariatric pal. The only one that doesn’t make me vomit. I bought calcium chews From target-viactiv
  14. No dumping. I’m eating a Girl Scout cookie right now! (Don’t tell anyone lol). I was in the hospital one night. Did the swallow test in the morning to check for leaks and all was well. Then later in the day they had me drink water and I vomited a little bit but they sent me home with medication to stop the vomiting. I’ve been fine. Swallow pills no problem.
  15. And yes, I add either Splenda or regular sugar.
  16. I drink regular coffee. One to two cups a day. Usually one. I have had no problems.
  17. Yes. I’m here for you. I relied on these boards a lot before and after surgery. Don’t let the horror stories scare you. The downside is rare-it will be okay. I was terrified and almost backed out but people on these boards kept me going. I was prediabetic and 250 lbs. I am down to about 180. I sometimes fall off the wagon and eat things I shouldn’t and have to start exercising more now that spring is here but I’m doing well. You will do well too. Take your vitamins and follow the plan and the weight will come off.
  18. I don’t think they retest you. They didn’t test me. I quit shortly before surgery. All will be fine. Feel free to ask me whatever you want.
  19. Wow! He’s great. Very thorough and a good surgeon. You’ll be in good hands. I’m here as a buddy if you want....are you done with all your pre op testing? Did you have a sleep study? I had one and they found sleep apnea but I’m off my Cpap now.
  20. I had doctor malhoutra from crystal run. I’m almost a year out. Feeling good. Had an issue with hair loss but other than that no complications. Been doing really well. Curious to know if he’s your doctor too. Dr Judd is also with him.
  21. Hi daisy-where did you have your surgery? I had mine at orange regional in Middletown.
  22. So sorry for your profound losses. Prayers and love sent your way. ❤️
  23. Good for you! Just got home from a week long vacation to Disney. Did fantastic as well. Congrats to you!??❤️
  24. All of what you are feeling is totally normal. Your body just went through major surgery. It takes a while for your emotions to balance out. Hang In there. As you progress through the food stages it gets easier. Be kind to yourself. Best of luck! ?
  25. Please keep us posted and let us know how you are. Hope you are feeling better.
