Hello Me too, mine is 3rd July. Surgery on your birthday! What a fantastic way to kick off another year. Similar for me, my birthday is 11th July. No cake for either of us this year!!

  • July 12th here. Things are going really well. I weighed in this morning at 279lbs. Puts me at 100lbs down from my highest weigh in which was early March of this year and 63lbs down since surgery date.

My band was removed in September 2015 because it was cutting circulation off to the top 1/3 of my stomach. I have a good bit of scar tissue but can have the sleeve done. I'm nervous about my surgery,

July 17th!

What are you guys doing for your pre-op diet? I started mine this week...a bit early but I was treating every day like it was the last supper so I thought "enough". Also, I'm having revisionary surgery as I already have a gastric band, so I want to make sure my insides are as prepared as can be :D I'm on milk and greek yoghurt. Day 4 and I'm finding it OK.

I am also scheduled for July 10th in Worcester Mass

I had my lapband removed September 15. I'm doing protein shakes, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, blended soups, and tons of water.

Hi peggilyn, did you consider having band removal and sleeve done at the same time? How long had you had the band? Mine has been in 12 years. I’m worried that there’ll be too much scar tissue so might be a risk the sleeve can’t be done at the same time, or that I’ll have a “big” sleeve at the top to divert from the scar tissue.

Happy Birthday and Happy Rebirthday all in one, this will make the rest of July anticlimactic. Best of everything now and in the future.

Well you will be a winter surgery, best wishes for your 5th July surgery. I've seen several from New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and one lady, lives in Canberra. Then we have @ Rainbow Warrior,he is a longer-time poster from New South Wales and I treasure all of his advice.
I am in Central Ohio and will be a sometime next month RnY bypass . I can hardly wait for my REBIRTHDAY to come.

Morning everyone. I love reading these blogs and it's lovely to meet you all :D I have a question, which may be too "deep", but I'll ask anyway! My main concern is that after surgery my head won't have caught up to my smaller stomach and I'll still want to eat like I used to. Some people report cravings disappearing, but it's not guaranteed. I have an appointment with a counsellor today in the hope that the surgery combined with some therapy may help me on my way. It's got to be worth a try! Does anyone share this concern? I guess these blogs are a form of therapy too :D
