  1. See now oatmeal was on my list of no no’s. Not sure why. Have to call my doctors office and find out why. A nice little bit of oatmeal would fill me up and be yummy.
  2. I was sleeved July 10th and I was very afraid. Thought I was going to die during the surgery. You will be fine. Going under anesthesia can be scary but you will be in very good hands. Keep yourself busy and make peace with your decision to move forward. It happens so quickly you’ll be up and walking off those gas pains before you know it! Best of luck to you!
  3. Hi jingle. Congrats on finding the best guy ever! Hopefully that day will come for me too. I agree with being in the right headspace. Thanks for the encouragement!
  4. Please call your surgeon.
  5. Best of luck to you both. You will do fine! Looking forward to seeing you on the losers bench! I was sleeved on July 10th and scared wasn’t even the word. I was terrified. All went really well. Make peace with your decisions and move forward with the plan. All will be fine. Best wishes for speedy recoveries and remember to walk walk walk!
  6. Hi all. I was sleeved July 10th. Now down to 213 from 248. I am a single mom of three teenage boys. I’d like to think someday I’ll be able to get into the dating arena again. Focusing on me right now and working the plan with my surgery for the best outcome. Any other single moms out there in my position? It gets lonely sometimes.
  7. Wow! Woop woop! Gives me so much hope! Congratulations!
  8. Good for you thatch. Im losing a little slower than you. Frustrating. Down to 114. Gonna try that recipe.
  9. Hi there. Sorry you’ve had so much nausea. I’ve had it mostly with vitamins. I am approaching week five. Sick of tuna and canned chicken meat with low fat mayo. Can’t stomach it anymore. Tried a piece of low fat sausage and it was heaven. Eating soups, cooked chicken, yogurt things like that. Haven’t really tried veges other than squash. Oh I also tried mashed potatoes and chilli and they were so good. Yes. I do occasionally get a metallic taste in my mouth. Not sure what that’s about.
  10. Wondering if there is anyone on the boards from upstate (Orange County) to be a support buddy.
  11. Tried a Califlour crust pizza I purchased at stop n shop last night. Was delicious. Low cal low carb. Gonna try recipe above.
  12. My face was bloated and definitely was the first place I showed weight gain. It’s not bloated anymore thank god. Four weeks out now and stalled. Hoping the weight loss will pick back up.
  13. We just have to stick with the plan and supposedly the weight loss will start again. I’m hoping. ?
  14. Yes. The stall started then. I’m getting discouraged.
  15. How have your weight loss been since venturing out with foods.....I seem to have stalled the last two weeks.
  16. Same with me with the sugar free stuff. Making me queasy. Have you eaten broccoli or were you told to hold off on it? Have you eaten steak?
  17. Hi. I was sleeved on July 10th. I still feel weak sometimes and get dizzy. Make sure you’re drinking enough. Yes. Talk with your surgeon about it.
  18. I was sleeved on the 10th and came home on the 11th completely independent. Just can’t lift.
  19. I keep spending money on vitamins as well. Calling doctor tomorrow. Only four weeks out and tried capsules and they’re not staying down. Not sure what to try.
  20. Hi there. Thank you for your post. I too suffer from anxiety and depression. I kept the same meds except one of mine was extended release and had to be changed to immediate release. Please address that with your doctor ASAP. Yes. Red lobster commercials get me every time. I just ate some salmon and so far so good.
  21. I need help with changing my status also-I had my sleeve July 10th and mine still says pre op.
