  1. I'm 3 days post op, and not hungry at all. Feels like a relief because before surgery I was always hungry!! lol. I hope this lasts a while.
  2. I know what you mean! Drinking is so easy, if it wasn't for the gas pain and twinges in my abdomen I'd wonder if he even did the surgery!! Have had 55 oz today, and it's mid afternoon.
  3. Hi, yes, I came home from the hospital on Friday. Spent 2 nights there. Today is better than yesterday!!
  4. Great! Welcome to the club!! That hospital brith needs salr, in my opinion!! Hang in there and good luck. I'm 3 days out and doing great! I wish you the same.
  5. I just saw your post about juicing. Number one, ask your team. Veggies may be too riugh on your new tummy, and two, there's not a lot of protein in veggie juice. They want us focusing on water, then protein. Good luck.
  6. Hang in there, and be patient with your new anatomy, and yourself. I too, just had surgery. 3 days ago! I had to drink a certain amount before I could leave the hospital. Walking even when you don't feel like it will help with the gas pain. Are they giving you pain and antinausea pills? You got this! Just hang tight.
  7. Thanks, all! I will stay off the scale until my 2 week follow up appointment on April 10th. The water weight should be gone by then!!
  8. Sugar free cool whip
  9. Had my bypass on Wednesday and just came home this afternoon. I knew it might happen, but I stepped on the scale and gained almost 10 pounds!! How long before I get back to normal?
  10. Yay! I'll be going home tomorrow!! How are you feeling?
  11. Oh, they are very different! They use a sugar substitute called Allulose. They're dipped in a coating, like chocolate or vanilla, and are soooo yummy! You should try them.
  12. Thank you! Mine went great! Spending 2 nights in the hospital then on my way home. Pain is minimal, gas pain is moderate, nausea under control.
  13. Had my surgery today! The RNY took 2.5 hours, and all went well! The worst part is no water until tomorrow and I am so thirsty! I'll be here until Friday of the drinking goes well tomorrow. Best wishes to all who had surgery this month!
  14. Oh, the day is almost here! Have to leave for the hospital ar 4:30 am and I can't sleep! It is 2:30 am on East Coast of the US. Lying in bed just wasn't cutting it so I got up!! Love all the advice on this forum, and good luck to everyone else with upcoming surgery!!
  15. Nope. I was limited the last 24 hours to protein shakes, water, sugarfree jello. No mention of carbs.
  16. I don't think I can sleep, either!! So ready for this!!
  17. I love the Quest Hero bars!! Have you tried those?
  18. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am tomorrow for my surgery! Sooo early. I'll be thinking of all you other March 27th-ers!
