Weight Stall Rant
You probably don't want to hear this, but I think you're doing fantastic! I had surgery the day after you. I gained 10 pounds of fluid in 3 days in the hospital, so the first 4 days at home I was working on losing the 10 pounds water weight. Then i started losing weight for real. So, since surgery I have lost 7 pounds. I think you're on the right track, but try and get more fluids down as it helps with weight loss. Keep up the hood work!!

Going out to eat fir the first time
Checking the menu ahead of time is a fantastic idea! Maybe order an appetizer. How far out from surgery are you? I'm already thinking of my first diner out, and think I'll have a single meatball with cheese and sauce, or grilled chicken. Good luck, and enjoy yourself!

I'm 9 days out from surgery and also take in 80 to 100 ounces of fluid, including the 3 protein shakes.

Protein and Water Intake
Maybe change the temperature of what you're drinking. I just had surgery 9 days ago and my new petite pouch prefers room temp or warm to really cold drinks. Good luck!

My surgeon prescribed pantoprazole. Are you taking any type of PPI? Maybe you need one. Contact your surgeon's office.

HELP: Gaining Weight After Only 6 months from MGB
Hi, MGBinIsrael, I'm jumping in here late to the discussion, but as others have noted, you are eating a tremendous amount of carbs for someone post WLS. I have found that eating carbs actually makes me hungry. When I cut down on carbs my hunger goes away. Maybe you should focus on dense protein, and some non starchy veggies, and give the fruit and oatmeal a break, and see if your hunger goes away. Best to you.

What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Internal pain, and gas pain. Pain when you move or twist. Not incision pain. I feel sooo much better 8 days out.

What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Pain is not too bad now. I don't take anything during the day, but fond that at night I'm more sensitive to it, and I take one pain pill at bedtime. They kept up with the pain and nausea meds in the hospital so it wad ok then, too. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. During the time before the surgery I also bought things from Amazon like bariatric sized utensils, small, really small Tupperware type containers, a food scale. The time will go quickly and you'll soon be on the losers bench!!

What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Congratulations on your surgery date! I'm a newbie in that I'm only 8 days post surgery, but I have been blessed to have had an easy week. I think a lot of it is your mental mind set. I read alot about gastric bypass and knew what I was getting myself into. Everyone here on this support forum is super helpful, so read a lot of posts. Practice chewing well, get used to protein shakes, but don't stock up because your taste changes after surgery. Good luck!

Aetna and Tests/History Required - Need Your Best Advice
I have Anthem BCBS, and was also required to have documentation that I had tried numerous different weight loss plans, over many years, with no success. I think If you have your 3 visits in April, May, and June you should be all set to have your surgery before August 31st. Wishing you all the best.

Pain in pouch. One week out.
Starting yesterday afternoon I have had a burning feeling where I think my new pouch is. I take a PPI in the morning, but this kinda feels like heartburn, which I had prior to my bypass. I'm wondering what a small leak would feel like. Also, what else could be causing this pain? I have had no nausea, no vomiting, and am making all my fluid and protein goals. I will call my surgeon's office in the morning, just wonder if anyone else has had pain in their pouch? Thanks!

Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge
Sounds delicious! I've decided to try to squash my sweet tooth post surgery because I have no willpower!! Lol. I couldn't eat just one serving.

How soon post surgery did you have a BM?
I'm feeling more normal!! Thanks, folks! Hoping the Miralax works. I'm afraid to take a full dose because I'm only on day 7 post op, and don't know if my pouch can handle it.

How soon post surgery did you have a BM?
I'm a week post surgery, and of course am only taking in fluids, so I'm not sure how soon I should expect to have a BM. I don't feel constipated, but wonder... also, if taking in only protein shakes, should I expect diarrhea? Thanks for your advice on this subject!!
