Reaction from friend: I want the old <you> back
The bottom line should be Are you pleased? Do you feel better about yourself? I know I am starting to appreciate myself more as the weight slowly and steadily melts away. I suspect you might feel the same. Congratulations and be happy for you!

Constipation Again
Mine is bad enough I am on Miralax 2 times daily, and I take some iron you can about figure the shade, but it is soft and can be pushed out, anything that keeps me from the Milk and Molasses Enemas, I do favor. Oh the episode was not THAT Bad, but the embarrassment to be a little Old Lady full of S***, and wouldn't you know my Cousin Randy happened be on duty. The price I pay for being related to people in this county (KNOX) and the 5 surrounding counties. I never realized we are becoming a little overbred around here. One family, the Davises, I am related to on the Mother's side and they were related to ,,, my late husband on the Fathers side. So I guess even though late hubby and I weren't related, those people were our " double Cousins". But Randy is really mine, his great- grandfather and my great- grandmother were brother and sister, so we go to the same reunions, when we go. One coming up in July, guess I'll pack a protein shake or 2 and go! Should be at a Family Campground in Morrow county, NW of here. He's a Physican Assistant, didn't miss the chance to razz me a little but he did not give me the enema. Thank goodness!

I hate my neck
Yeah bat wings and flying squirrel thighs, I am becoming a real zoo with my turtle neck and basset hound cheeks. But ya know, 111 pounds lost since surgery , just call me the Zookeeper!

Diabetes
May it be so, Mrs Gamgee, may it be so and it couldn't happen to a nicer and more deserving person. Maybe Diabetes will be far behind you someday soon!

WAIT WHAT NO CALORIE SALAD DRESSING!
No but I am Flushed for success, just send my mail to the Porcelain Throne Room, spend a lot of time there, but what I pass is light yellow, found out people do better on Fluid Drive. Now if I could get rid of the Weight Loss wrinkles in my face, when the puffy cheeks departed my facial skin got rather confused so it's hanging there hoping in vain that my chipmunk cheeks come back. Maybe I will put money in the jar for a face lift and tightening. The panni and thighs may have to wait!

50+
Why not? Why not now, this is a Beautiful Day, might be a lovely time also at Bariatric Pal Mexico. Being thinner is a real winner; and you will find out, as I did, a former Foodaholic, nothing tastes as good as Thin feels. And as my own Fat Shell continues to crack, people are starting to see the Beautiful ME that was there always. But when you're obese you are beneath their notice, I guess you are an non-person. Hey world? I'm Here, I've always been here but you had blinders on, you JUST couldn't see me, for my surroundings or something. So your Ex-cuses have expired, if you still can't see ME please Ex-it from my presence, you s just became Ex-tranious or something similar!

Diabetes
Only a hug, a pat on the back, a reminder that Bariatric surgery can stop or at least slow down the Diabetes Monster. Every blood lab I have drawn I worry mine will come back like yours. My PCP shakes his head " By all that is holy, you should be diabetic by now!" darn dude sounds disappointed, does he really want all the extra work it would ensue? Peeved him my BP is better, cholesterol lower, pulse Ox higher and better than his, I have COPD, don't smoke and I'm maybe 35 years older, and then I have the audacity to not turn diabetic, I'm losing weight like a house afire. All his Doom and Gloom was for naught, and looks like I might even outlive him! He is starting to develop a mid-age paunch, should I get in his face and read him the Riot Act.? if he doesn't know,it by now, KARMA IS A FEMALE DOG! (snicker-snicker!)

I hate my neck
It was bad enough I was as Big as a Dragon, but now I have a neck like a flippin' turtle, not desirous of being an reptile unless I can be pretty like a Coral Snake or as fearsome as an Gila Monster, they're poisonous, Nobody messes with THEM! I've only made it down to a 18-20 but starting with 28-30W that is COOL at this point. And I may still whittle down to my 175 Goal!

Maybe your weight is making your seizures worse, I know it is a stretch, but seeing diabetics can go off their meds, hypertension people can cut back on BP meds, who is to say the weight loss would not help. Maybe your neurologist can somehow work in tandem with your bariatric surgeon to ensure you the BEST OUTCOME! I am the mama to an epileptic, currently under control, but it's like sitting on the edge of a sharp knife, if you slip, you could get cut. And like every Mama, I wish it was me instead of him that had them. There have been times when in the midst, tears ran down his face, yeah probably reflexive but it tears my ?to see it. Yes I had my surgery for ME but also so I could still be here for him. My PCP was making noises that my weight could KILL me, now I have a new lease on life, 111 pounds lost since surgery 9 months ago, a little more to Goal but I believe in me and that I can do it! You're 46, I was twice that when I had my surgery, I came through and I believe you can too, there has just got to be a way for it to happen! Your kids, your grandson , they want and need you here, but wouldn't it be nice to have a more streamlined model, one who can survive daily stress and still be the best. And Amelia, I want it for YOU!

50+
Well hello Shashy, I FINALLY have someone my age to talk to! So when was your Birthday? I turned 73 on December 26th, have a 9 month old RNY, her name is Precious Pouch, I fought over 3 years to gain her, she is Not Grateful, tries her best to rule my every moment, and wins most of the time! On the other hand I have lost, if scale figures are correct, 111 pounds since surgery which puts me at a BMI of 31.1, my High BMI was almost 52 a short year ago, almost to the date. So pretty doggone good for ME. It hasn't been a perfect textbook recovery, some things still to be ironed out, but I will make it. We Baby Boomers are made out of strong steel, not plastic or fiberglass like the Young Ones, we last and last, and we don't easily blow away at the first blast of wind. So Hurray for the late 40s and early 50s, we were built GOOD!

Food Before and After Photos
Well at least mine is a Pure Protein bar, still concentrated enough I can only eat a quarter at a time!

Ulcer question

❤ MAY 2019 CHALLENGE❤
I still think my goal weight is realistic as well, especially as I draw closer to Onderland, my BMI is now 31.1, that's on the cusp between Obese and Overweight, and I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT I could get that low, know I wouldn't without my Bariatric tool, I tried all kinds of diets, some I am ashamed to say I fell for, Cabbage juice, grapefruit, a caramel and hot water before eating? Oh they were legion, and every time some new medical person made one up, Frustr8 was there with her lower lip quivering and years in her eyes. My goal remains 175 and a size 15 junior. Now my Nurse Practioner Valerie, and by extension Dr Needleman , would be satisfied with anything sub-199 for ME, maybe they don't have the confidence in ME that I do. I am less than 8 pounds from Onderland, I SHALL BREAK THAT BARRIER! and then, and then, who knows where my,body and. I,shall land! Put padding out so I don't break a bone jumping of the cliff into thin air but I'm going to do it! I still think I look like a tired Basset Hound in the face, but my Son assures me I am" Pretty" to Him still. So I have lived through this May Challenge, a few scars and dents, sorry my arms wouldn't have enough strength or my legs strong enough to raise,me up from squats, but you know I was pretty intent on the Exercises I could do, so I deserve a participation plaque at least. And I did get to know and accept ME better, to realize I am still a Winner even if no one else sees or notices. After all this journey is Mine not to necessarily entertain them all. So I am looking forward to June, another Endoscopy on 12th June, same day as Tomkittens Birthday & I,promised him I will take him to China Buffet, even if I ingest Egg Drop,or Hot and Sour soup only, I will still be wishing him Health and Good Fortune in the Coming Year!!?& ?

June 2019 sleevers
Start keeping a list to keep your sanity! Like the bumper sticker KILL THEM ALL; GOD CAN SORT THEM OUT LATER! Keep muttering This Too Shall Pass! And it will! I knew I had NASH, let's see, non alcoholic Steatohepatitis, is what it really means, in lay terms a Fat Liver, so I did a Liver-shrink the entire month of August 2018, for every week you do it your liver shrinks 4%, so mine was between 12-16% smaller for my surgery. It worked, it worked, and my surgeon complimented me on my mini-liver, told me it was as smooth, small and healthy as a new-born calf, once I was certain he didn't plan to sell me for veal, I was complimented for my hard work. But you do turn into a Stormin' Norma foe awhile. Tomkitten, my son, said like the lepers in the Bible he should have been in front of me carrying a sign" DANGER-STARVING MAMA-BEWARE EVERYONE! But it worked, I lost 15 pounds, felt I had done something to be prepared, and it ended well on Surgery Day! And those are lofty goals.
