  1. I used to see postings on my Google plus, now all I seem to get are ones from Alex and the Bariatric Pal Store. Nice to know, there are Sales going on, but still÷ And if anybody PM me, I won't know unless I scroll back there .
  2. Did the same thing this morning, my local Goodwill, will just love me. Their stock of 3x-4x-5x is about to be replenished, may some chick who's the Size I used to be have joy with them all!
  3. That I did, that I did!?❤?
  4. Me also, I worry about being low or deficient in Protein, especially since my Pouch refuses to consider a lot of the Easy Ones. My new one to try is Butter Pecan Glucerna, I'm told that Abbot Laboratories also .makes Ensure in that taste but the only place I ever saw that was LTF facilities. Do you suppose Amazon or Wal-Mart might have it online?
  5. And Seaforest, I can't help but believe "We ain't seen nothing yet!. Every day when I wake up,i am grateful for the changes in my life, like a child full wonderment, I want to hang around for the conclusion of this all!!???And a NlessedMemorial Day for You All. ????
  6. Something I should take to heart myself: EMBRACE THE BEST; LEARN TO IGNORE THE REST! Was on my motivational app this AM.?
  7. A Trophy for you AZ hiker, well stated, well said!
  8. That may be simple worry that it may imperil your health or, if they are like my paternal side of the family, they are control freaks and WANT to run everything and Their Way is the Only Way!
  9. Got to agree with you there! Of course, when you get to be my age, almost every test has some sort of "caboose" to it; but I prefer finding these things out before I get to a High risk state. As an example: Chest MRI to check my aorta- Renal cysts Neck Cat Scan- thyroid nodules Multiple endoscopies- Bowing of Vocal Cords Repeated blood labs while PICC line in place- low blood iron- Iron INFUSION DEXA scan- yearly INFUSION to stave off osteoporosis worsening Mammogram- only one they found Nothing Else- what a relief! And all of these since January 2019. Trust the bailing wire I'm fastened up with lasts! LOL?
  10. And I miss, when I wake up,the ability to drink enough to make this dry sensation to disappear. Maybe someday it will solve itself?
  11. I wonder if this is the way it will be from now on? Will you always have this tender sensation as a reminder? Perhaps someone more experienced will have some input.
  12. Congratulations on All 3, it is great to meet each and feel better, isn't it?
  13. Especially good if they once were your "slider" foods. Enjoy eating the "Good for You " proteins and foods on this Memorial Day.
  14. Well I had found something I considered cute on this Memorial Day holiday. Perhaps I had better keep it to myself. I had forgot th8s thread turned hateful,
  15. My cell phone charger, right before my surgery I bought a 10 foot one at Staples, Tomkitten teased me about it but it was very valuable. Also if they tell you to bring your C-Pap do it. But learn from my error, I didn't check,to see it was complete. My model wasn't the same as their house ones. Since I was 50 miles from, home, and had no one to,bring me the part missing, I had to wear 02 the entire Post-Surgery time, because it would have been difficult to drag it up and down the hall, I was room-bound, good thing,I DID NOT have gas to expel, I think OSU must pump it back, out at surgery conclusion.???
  16. Has anyone had corn Mush?
  17. So do dried apricots, who'd of thunk? Sure I lost a few old food friends but I gained so much more with my weight loss!?No tears for them!
  18. Your Gut knows what your Mind has yet to comprehend. Got that from one of my Motivation Apps but I believe it to be true. The surgeon at my original program, there was just somethi g about him that didn't ring true for me. My final surgeon at Ohio State University, Bradley J Needleman, perfect surgeon, perfect for me and I expect my future dealings with him to continue, I now have follow-up for life, that's the way OSU sets things up.
  19. And I still, after nearly 9 months, cannot eat banana, peanut butter, cottage cheese or even Greek yogurt, all of these were pre- surgery friends but my Precious Pouch, the little ruler of my life , will not accept them. Maybe someday, maybe never, the jury is still out there. And water, for me, has gone from being sweet-tasting to bitter, and I have not a clue why!
  20. Well welcome SuzM, there are a lot of Good people with Good stories on here, lurk if you like, but also feel free to join in on our discussions. You might think from some of the postings there are a lot of complaints, and I might seem that way myself, but I would never trade what I was before, 365+ pounds for where I am , 9 months after surgery, and about ready to leave the 200s behind. And nothing feels as good as my Fat Shell cracking and finding out who I am underneath. Still a little way to my goal, but I now believe I can make it! You're 39, well I am doing all this at 73, and I still am having success. Good luck with your own journey but if we can do anything to help, please ask, okay?
  21. Well pretty close, I have been known in the past to start out with leftover mashed potatoes, add a little cooked onion and celery, milk, or in the old days cream, and YumYum, sometimes even cheese. Full of calories, a former guilty pleasure of mine. But I concede none of that stuff feels as good as thin feels. Down over a hundred pounds since my own surgery 9 months ago- and I didn't lose by breaking rules but following the guidance I was given.
  22. I am Happy that your Mama is going to give you emotional support, a lot of people on here are not so lucky. Sometimes I wish my parents were alive to see my successes, I hope, even with their worries, they would have still have been proud of me. I am fortunate I do have a son who does " have my back" as I go along this journey. Mine has not been textbook perfect, but even with its bumps and strange turns, he is still proud of me and all I have accomplished. A little peeved I now weigh less than him, but now he is starting to watch his own diet closer. He has seen the changes in my body, and maybe it is rubbing off on him a little.
  23. Not a good move at all! An American saying for you " You're cruising for a bruising" means you are risking bad things like your new tummy rupturing under the strain. Honey, you are not THAT healed internally, it is NOT WORTH the risks you are taking!
  24. Aw Shoot, you just shot down one of my favorite things, cream of Potato soup!?Oh the sacrifices we go through in the name of science!
