  1. Does your stomach pain go down into your groin or feel like it is diagonal? If so, Mint2bskinny is extremely correct, should have suggested that, I have hemauria, that's microscopic blood in the urine, have to keep forcing fluid to keep the Sandy sludge from firming into a Frank stone. One more flare-up,and Dr Henry, my step-urologist, my original Dr Clemens deleted Mount Vernon from his rounds, oh I could still see him if I went to St Ann's in Westerville,30 miles away. Dr C did a bladder cystoscopy, that was rather clear but Dr H says we will be marching clear up to the Kidneys. Do I look forward to THIS? Not especially, so I am trying to keep things dilute and flushing freely. And I have 3 kidneys in the first place, makes me thrilling to an urologist, sort of like a 2-headed calf in the barn. Don't see THAT every day!
  2. Probably didn't realize you would be one that needed it. I do hope Omeprazole(Prilosec) works for you, it seems to for most people. It didn't for me but I am an "outlier", only thing that consistently does is Dexilent, the $300 PPI, luckily my Medicare PartD/Medicaid takes it down to a $3,40 co-pay, because without it my gastritis/ jejunal ulcers and structured Stoma would run ramptant.and i would be without HOPE! I joke when they do my Autopsy, they will discover my spine has been replaced by a neat row of Sucralfate tablets stacked up! I have, been taking that for 7.5 months, does it help? IDK haven't had a day without it, every 6 hours 6am, noon, 6pm, midnight--- now and forevermore! Ulcers, dull continuous Pain with brief flare-ups of agony. Watch for black emesis, that's digesti g blood, bright red means one has perforated , will I make it to an ER before I bleed to Death?, IDK but it is a Scary Larry situation to contemplate!
  3. Hey Stardust, it works, it works! What is your BMI down to now? Dug out my older paperwork, see I NEVER seem to throw things away- BMI 52,6 at first encounter with my surgeon's Head Nurse Practitioner Valerien I think she does all his intakes, almost exactly to the day 1 year ago. Proud to boast it is now 31.1 or it was last Saturday the 25th. Do you KNoW what this means? 30 is the boundary between Obese and merely Overweight! Oh I AM NOT STOPPING- I have gone through peaks, valleys and bumps on my Weight Loss Pathway, even a couple quagmires. Come too G.D. far to ever consider regressing, and so I never shall! I no longer need a wide angle for my "selfies" just a normal gauge ? camera. I wish areas of my skin would tighten up, but after being stretched So Longn there is no SnapBack, loop it off or its just gonna hang there. I have on my Very First Jegging, oh I am still,a little bulgy, but IDC, I DON'T CARE, it still is a triumph for ME! Nobody realizes how envious I was of everyone else who Could wear Jeggings before. I would go to Wal-Mart, go to the appropriate department and sniffle?a lot, because it JUST WASN'T FAIR,just because I was BIG it shouldn't mean I was invisible. I knew , like the Velveteen Rabbit, I was "real".
  4. Good on You Catwoman7, you're a Pain Sister of the 1st Water! Be nice if you lurched the opposite direction, that way as we walked together we would Stand Upright!!!?
  5. Center of balance has changed, you laid too long on a hard operating table, nerves pinched and/or frayed, arthritis, rheumatism, or nothing else hurts so you could center on this more. The guessing could go on and on. If he does say " Well you WANTED this surgery! "you have my permission to smite HIM. I know if mine said it I would zap right back with "And you had no reservations about doing it, did you?" really my Doctor Needleman is a very nice guy, I woke up in a semi-foul mood this AM. One of those days, you wake up in pain and say "What Next?" In the old days a cup of coffee would settle me right down, now I have gastritis, intestinal ulcerations and a bariatric pouch that only functions in Months with an "R", guess what? No R in May, June, July, August, going to be a Long Summer for lil' Frustr8 !
  6. And at 9 months, 1/4th cup rarely, usually 2 oz yet, Precious Pouch does not stretch much, if at all! Maybe they are masochist, really, into PAIN, IDK either!
  7. NEWS FLASH-BREAKING NEWS FLASH' The tip of my nose DOES NOT HURT! Oh it is drippy, Grass Pollen count is HIGH in Mid-Ohio. I always get Hay or in this case, Grasses Fever, but I did touch it and it don't HURT! Maybe the sun will be out from behind that☁⛅☁ Storm Cloud! LOLCCH, Laughing, out Loud Cause Crying Hurts!
  8. When arthiritis has chewed your joints, sure you have less pain with less weight but they never are going to be before "Art" reared his Ugly little head. God never gives you a "Do Over" with joints, no matter where they are in the body This morning even my fingertip joints hurt, if they didn't I would know I was dead and someone forgot to tell ME. Doctor asked me :Well Frustr8, my dear, where do YOU hurt today? " My answer " Where Do I Not?" Been Steady- Dating "Art" since I was 25, getting close to 50 years ago. He is Omnipresent! Yep, big word for Big Bother!
  9. And do YOU get any noticeable Iron at all THAT WAY?
  10. Gets better or you develop a degree of resignation, " Is This All There Is?". Oh it isn't always BLEAK but often for me, STORMY! And I guess that's the way the mop flops!
  11. Went back to Eating past RNY? Don't know how, I can't even eat with it and it's been nigh onto 9 months NOW! Oh Give Me A Break,i do not SEE?how THAT could ever happen!
  12. I really kinda miss them. My Grandma Ada, Daddy's Mama, had her own " house" garden as well as the Great Big one where sh3 grew the crops like Sweet Corn, Potatoes, beans and melons. Just because I loathe Melons did not mean the family declared a moratorium on the nasty old stuff. Anyway I have no clue what "greens" were in it but she would go out, pick an healthy bowl full, make a dressing out of olive oil, Apple cider vinegar, a pinch,of sugar or honey if she had it, usually did, a little bacon or bacon fat, warm it up enough to gently wilt the greens, sometimes that was the bulk of our lunch. Might slice some hard-boiled egg on top, still had her own chickens. Remember the co-op was behind a porch-type big swing , I would swing and talk to the chickens. Yeah, I was my own woman, even as a miniFrustr8, I talked to chickens. Did it help? IDK but it didn't seem to slow down the egg production any! Funny isn't it, that I remember how good it all tasted this Fat down the line?
  13. One of the hardest things for me? EAting something, hoping it will stay down long enough to do me some good and then losing it to emesis anyway. This exercise gets old very. quick!?
  14. Wow ---thank you for sharing that; a lot of very good points made. And part of mine remains the Bari-brothers and sisters I have met here, when my resolve starts to crumple, and those of you know my past and present stories know there have been a lot of bumps and a few quagmires on my Weight Pathway, and times when I wondered WHAT NEXT? , well I start to remember the ones who have encountered similar, they made it through and so should I and I no longer feel bewildered and alone!???
  15. Well my BMI is officially 31,4, this puts me in the cusp between obese and overweight, less than 8 pounds to Onederland, and I do believe I'll make it soon! I start to? sniffle a lttle just thinking about itm I did fear I would never get THIS LOW in weight, yes they did tell me I WOULD, but when you have been lied to about things that you wanted really really Bad, it is hard to believe and trust. The emotional baggage is slowly leaving me, but I must have a train case of sorrow still left. But I shall, I will, achieve this milestone, I WANT IT FOR MY OWN!
  16. Oh I sure never knew that Alex, doesn't seem quite fair, does it? After all, something should not equal nothing in my book.
  17. Could you mix a little cooked egg into your protein shake and re-puree it? Sort of like an eggnog. Yeah you do miss chomping, I guess we all do, but our day Will Come, like most Americans We Want It and We Want It NOW!
  18. And what do you use for your Daily Motivation?
  19. And a lot of us are hoping and working towards Onderland ourselves. You give us hope for the Future!
  20. And are you now entering maintainance or are you planning additional weight loss?
  21. Well each of you do inspire me, although I haven't experienced a stall, probably,over- due for one, if and when it happens I will know I am in good stead.
  22. Been looking, can't find it, it was ET in a hospital bed, caption was Visiting my friend after 2 weeks on a Liver shrinking Diet. Saw it just Memorial Day Morning, checked my apps and I cannot find it, and I know it wasn't a delusion!
  23. Not That Bad a post, you're speaking from the ?And no one should fault you for that! I am on the other side of the coin in one respect, Doctor just recently asked me Are You sure You Haven't had a Hysterectomy? like I haven't paid my dues. I'm pretty sure I would know and nobody ever told me it was a prerequisite to Bariatric Surgery any way. Makes me feel like a slacker, after all! Told my inquisit or You WAnt it, you can have IT, at 73 no great loss anyway! And then at least One Of Us will be Happy, Doctor Dear!
  24. I forget ;were you a VSG or a RNY? I ask because you may not retain enough stomach acid to digest and use Calcium Carbonate, the basic chemical in Tums et all. That's why they usually recommend another Calcium wait like Citrate. Of course, if you want to spend your money and have them leave in your? poo, well so be it! We do get that choice in the Good Old U.S. of A. don't we? And Chronic Gastritis is not fun, it's like a gas heater on low flame, still hot to the touch, and you hope the flame does not go out. Carbon Monoxide poisoning also not fun, gives you a horrible headache before you reach a lethal level. Yeah, Frustr8 has experienced THAT too. A fact of bodily chemistry, your red blood cells like Carbon Monoxide a whole lot better than straight Oxygen, that's one of the treacherous things about Carboxyhemaglobin, those doggone erythrocytes don't Wanna give up it for Oxygen. It gives you a lovely red flush, because it's Cherry Red, you won't need as much makeup at the Mortuary, but dying to prove it, not a GOOD thing. I much prefer to continue living, Thank You Very Much!
  25. Good Girl @Sheribear 68, I am proud of you even if you don't lose any more weight! Come to think of it, Do Continue to lose weight, I'm only a few pounds beind you and if YOU don't continue, I might not either! Perish That Thought, my dad- burned Clinic didn't set me up another appointment until August,i must be in the Benign Neglect phase now, they don't seem to care a ?A** about me right now! And doggone it, I grow smaller and cuter every day and They Are Missing it All! ?
