  1. Good luck with the Nuva ring. Just a word of warning, if I took the ring out for more than a few hours it would always trigger a start of a period for me. It was super annoying to me, because I prefer to have no period at all.
  2. The absolute best revenge would be sending him pics of my current hotness (and future hotter-ness ). That would hit him where it hurts. Because I know I was the best sex he'd ever had, and I doubt he's found better in the last 4 years
  3. I weigh i every morning I'm home. Naked and after I use the restroom. BUT, I'm not easily stressed out or obsessive. If I stall, it sucks, but I totally realize it's normal and part of the process. I have no expectation that the scale will drop every day. So I'd only recommend weighing in daily if you can keep a healthy perspective about it.
  4. But expensive doesn't mean higher quality necessarily
  5. Requirements are often higher for men
  6. Do you need 3 shakes a day? Most programs require 60 g protein. Two Premier Protein Shakes would cover that. Or one and then a combo of yogurt / fairlife milk / protein fortified soup, etc., would get you to your protein goal.
  7. Glad to see someone with longish term low calories like myself. Like you, it's not necessarily purposeful, it's about my lack of hunger and restriction.
  8. I wouldn't assume your pace has slowed down. You're in a stall. It's normal and it will happen over and over again. I REALLY think looking at the big picture with WLS is important. Sure ... this is discouraging But does it really matter, compared this this?
  9. @BadWolf523 How far out are you? Is that ricotta bake?
  10. So instead of looking at it as 0 lost in two weeks, how about looking at it as 13 lbs lost in 3 weeks? And I'm guessing if you had been able to find long term success with Weight Watchers, you probably wouldn't have needed WLS? Losing quickly is great, of course. But the most important feature of WLS, IMO, is that it will help us keep the weight off long term.
  11. I would. Getting your protein in is far more important than worrying if it's a slider food, IMO.
  12. Well they are ... but I don't think anyone drinks them because they taste great. I think for most people it's just a way to meet their protein goals. I'd have a problem if my program had an issue with protein drinks, as long as they were low cal, high protein options.
  13. Six weeks is still early. I'd just be patient and see if it becomes easier to tolerate. Why does your program want you off shakes? I still rely on them at 6 months because I have a lot of restriction. My program has no issue with that.
  14. Love mine ... no issues whatsoever. But I have an iron stomach, and nothing bothers it pretty much ever, so there's that.
  15. Congrats! That's the exact coping skills we need, because food's not going to go away, we just need to be able to make good choices!
  16. I'm single, but not a mom. I've been dating for what feels like forever, lol. I'm excited to date at the weight I am now. I always projected confidence and never let on to my insecurities due to my weight. But now I actually feel confident, instead of just faking it!
  17. You're maintaining, it is natural and non processed, and you enjoy it. I don't see anything wrong with any of that!
  18. I know! That's why the "just push food around your plate, no one will notice" thing won't work for me! I'm not sure why my restriction is so great, but I am not complaining!
  19. I always forget to take before pics ... but here are two times I remembered! Cheeseburger with onion strings (ok, maybe not the healthiest choice!)
  20. You've lost 66 lbs since April, that is in no way slow. I'd suggest focusing on the positives, instead of some unrealistic expectation on how fast you would lose. When in your life have you been able to lose 66 lbs in 4 months?
  21. You didn't share what you are doing now, so it's hard to tell you to keep up what you're doing ......
  22. I'm all for healthy skepticism, but there are 25, researchers named on this study.
