Taking Multiple Pills Post Surgery
Same as what other folks have said—still take 3-4 at a time for morning. My acid reducer helps mitigate any tummy/esophagus upset though. ?

When will the hair loss stop?
I’m 10 months out and still pull strands out in the shower occasionally...and my brush does it too sometimes ? small price to pay for being 2lbs from goal now. I try to keep perspective ??♀️

Taking Tylenol in pill form
And this was told to you by your doctor right? Yes.

Taking Tylenol in pill form
Three weeks out I was allowed to transition back to pills, not chewies or crushed.

Which phone apps do you use to remind you to take your vitamins??
I use Medisafe too. I like it a lot.

Vrylar Anyone?
Not at all, it made me giggle And I wasn't offended necessarily by the other individual, but it did kind of make it sound like that's all it's used for when I think pretty much everyone knows these types of medicines can be helpful in a variety of diagnoses. Don't want ya'll thinking I'm flying off the deep end I might end up calling my surgeon's office just to clear it with their nurses/him. The prescribing doc is thrilled about my sleeve, but admittedly doesn't know a lot about it!

Vrylar Anyone?
It's also prescribed for other mental health concerns besides Bipolar disorder. But I don't care to disclose my personal struggle in that regard. But I know a lot of folks on here struggle with various forms of mental health concerns so thought I'd ask! My doc did say it's relatively new!

Vrylar Anyone?

Successful recover/post op....Looking for ideas
For further post op I’d say a food scale! I don’t think in ounces so having that made it easier ?
-
Bruising like crazy!
Just as a fun fact I’m 10 months post op next week and I bruise so much easier ??♀️ My doc just does blood work every check in and it’s always been normal. Just a new fun thing for me I guess. But at 12 weeks out you probably won’t know that for sure yet ?

Depression after surgery
Im almost 10 months out. I learned to show up after the food is served with my family. Or not at all. But that’s a choice I was OK making, I’m not big on social gatherings to begin with. ??♀️ In general though I can tell you many people experience post op depression including myself. But the way of addressing that is different for everyone so I’d also echo the therapist suggestion should you find it continuing on and on and even outside of food/family gatherings. Or a support group.

Sickness post surgery
I do not wish this on anyone that’s for sure! And thank you!

Sickness post surgery
Just out of curiosity since I haven’t ate food in like 2 days, I got on the scale. Wanna get 2.5lbs away from goal? Get the stomach bug ?

The Fall
Fear: extended family asking tons of questions at Thanksgiving since they don’t know about surgery and I’ve lost 100lbs ish since last thanksgiving. Solution: Work Thanksgiving and don’t go home ? #hospitalsneverclose so I get to work and avoid my fears. And in the Winter version of this thread where I get off work for Christmas, I’ll be coming up with a big girl solution ?

Sickness post surgery
Anyone had the common cold/stomach bug after WLS and have it completely knock ya on your booty? -raises hand- currently experiencing this and it is either an intense version of whatever virus, or post op sickness is just different ? either way...holy moly I feel terrible.

Post op pain - be honest
I have a high pain tolerance too, but I'll be 100% honest: I hit that pain med button every time I could and took every pain pill they gave me post-op. Major abdominal surgery is no joke and the pain, while different for everyone, is definitely real. But I was the perfect post op patient, walking tons, following my plan, getting my fluids in etc etc. I just didn't want to be in pain while doing it if I didn't have to be.

I can’t date overweight people
*high fives* right you are.

Dating how to's?
I have been on Bumble for a few months and really like it. If you aren't familiar, it's like Tinder, but when you "match" someone the female always has to send the first message if you are interested in the match. So I get to control if I really want to talk to someone or not. I've been on a lot of just drink dates that have fizzled into nothing more than a one time date, but it's helping me be way more social and help with my anxiety issues. I might have lost almost 100lbs, but my anxiety is just as strong as it was when I was the overweight girl

- Post Op Bra Size
My sports bras rubbed my incision. I wore no bra until I went back to work 3 weeks post op- Post Op Bra Size
Yes! First I bought one at a time of whatever new size, then I went to JCPenny and got 2/$20 on their sales. Just got these 3 from VS and man I hope I don’t regret it ?- Favorite Stuff
I’m not sure what everyone’s supplement recommendations are, but I have a work stash of calcium since I take it during the day. I also have a home bottle for weekends ? And I keep generic gas x chewables at work and home.- Before and After Pics
Start: 225. I’m 9 months post op.- Post Op Bra Size
Can I just say I never thought I’d be going from a 38G to a 32D? 32 band size, what? ? But rant wise, I’ve gone through 4 sets of bras since starting this journey 9 months ago. I just bought 3 new ones in the hopes the girls are done shrinking at 5lbs from goal ? But when the bra gap game gets too strong...gotta cave and shop! Anyone else enjoying the shelling out for new bras every 2 months or so? ? - Post Op Bra Size
