My Plastic Surgery Thread
When you have lipo you have to use compression garments to help bind the skin back to the muscle layer for tissue regeneration to happen quicker & to prevent the amount of scar tissue developing in the space created by Lipo plus compression aims to prevent excess swelling However there are a few schools of thought on this, some surgeons say no need to wear compression wear beyond the first few day, my surgeon said binder for 2 weeks then progress to the Faja until you feel its no longer necessary, I already see how swollen I get and how quickly I happens if I don't compress (sides not abdomen... That's going to do what it wants for a while I noticed) I just ordered something less tight than my current Faja (which the vendor did tell me was the second tightest one you could get- sounded like a good idea when I was higher than a kite ?... But now FML)

yes it may show up under softer/thinner, lighter colored fabrics But at this point I NEED it (I also have areas of lipo) so if its visible IDC or my results will just be terrible/mediocre... I can already tell I could get a slightly less structured Faja for downtime... I've been eyeing a few on Amazon

My Plastic Surgery Thread
Awwwwww man, that's a bummer. I had noticeable results after mine and now that I'm home I can't seem to find anyone who does it in my area ... so I'm sad Ok try putting on compression gear immediately after the massage to see if that helps too. I was rewrapped in my binder immediately post massage. Everything was about softening the skin, moving the fluid, then compressing the F out of the area. I'm noticing now that I swell around the areas that are not compressed (like wearing a binder or corset) so I'm trying to keep my results uniform by wearing the Faja during the day and seamless shapewear to bed ... I need this South Beach body to show up ??

Has anyone had a gastric sleeve revision?
You have a few options as a revision but only a surgeon can direct you after testing A reminder: This will be your 3rd WLS, if given the choice IMHO i would choose the most permanent one (DS/SIPS)

To sleeve or not to sleeve, that is the question!
Can you please rewrite the response ? I can't quite understand what was written.

VSG to RNY revision for GERD--Hunger question
I never lost hunger after VSG so I can not answer that question but here's what i know: You will lose your pyloric sphincter with the conversion (which may result in accidentally giving you ability to have great volume because the filled signal may disappear so that's a consideration) You can maintain your weight after conversion if you are diligent and careful You may experience new bathroom habits You may develop vitamin deficiencies if you are not diligent and careful Ask the surgeon if the first surgery is performed (it sounds like Cardiopexy with Ligamentum Teres) and does not work, can RNY conversion still be performed? Link to research on Cardiopexy with Ligamentum Teres below https://www.researchgate.net/publication/277085887_Cardiopexy_with_Ligamentum_Teres_in_Patients_with_Hiatal_Hernia_and_Previous_Sleeve_Gastrectomy_An_Alternative_Treatment_for_Gastroesophageal_Reflux_Disease ARTICULOOBESITYSURGERY (1).pdf

My first post...be kind
Hi! ❤Being kind and gentle ❤ Congratulations on your success after WLS that lead to fertility. Sorry about the PPD, the joys of motherhood can be tricky sometimes But Revision may not be the focus right now. Keep that in your back pocket for emergencies only. Only your surgeon can tell if its necessary so see your Surgeon because they can definitely help but also consider support groups/therapy etc. Perhaps getting to the root of the gain will kickstart your ability to heal and continue on your journey. Plenty of people have losts gained and lost the weight again without additional surgery, so its always possible! Don't lose hope❤ Cheering you on (again)?
