That pic is just terrible ? It's a ramen bowl (even though I don't eat noodles) the slots are for chopsticks Since I ate the same thing today, I have better pics (hand for size comparison)

Why Isn't Surgery More Common?
The number of WLS are trending upward! https://asmbs.org/resources/estimate-of-bariatric-surgery-numbers I believe a lot of people do it but in private and you won't hear about it because there is still stigma attached to obesity moral falling or character flaw.

Another low net carb sandwich This time everything was measured accurately. I realized a long time ago that I don't have the patience to log. This is still true ?

I think they are just called deep fryers. I hate deep frying... It takes too much work and resources. I deep fried food for a friends party about a year in & knew I would never do it for myself/family unless there was no other way. I think my problem is high fat/high carb or the amount/type of oil for me. Last September at a fair I tried a deep fried oreo at the request of my kids and wished I didn't ? Everyone seems to love Instapot, but I have not tried it

Impromptu date night at Olive Garden -Don't judge me... it was only thing we could find open in the area (after we needed to make an Aldi's run) ? Ok I literally always get the same thing - Tiramisu. I don't bother to order a meal anymore because they are too big so I just poach off others. I started with salad and one medallion of eggplant Parmesan with a small piece of bread stick (went surprisingly ok) & Tiramisu after (finished the rest at home)

The curied salmon pate was prepped like tuna or chicken salad, so nothing was fried for that recipe BUT You may be surprised to find that different bariatric plans (under different bariatric team supervision) allow for different food standards. Also individual tolerance will account for what can/can't be eaten. On my plan and with my tolerance, I can have some fried foods. I for a long time I have stuck with pan, oven & convection fried vs deep fried as matter of preference because I rather not waste oil for no added value. I'm sure many others like @sillykitty @summerset @MarvelGirl25 @ms.sss @Sophie7713 @Cheeseburgh will be able to give you their perspectives too ❤️

If you can return to your previous Bariatric team (or find a new one) they can order tests to check your anatomy. Good Luck ♥️

I don't know what to do first!
If I as to plan it all again I would start in the kitchen pantry. Clean and organize to make finding your favorite things easier. Next I works get dedicated measuring cups, small plates/bowls & water bottles, pill organizers, etc. Last I would clean my house to make everything easier to find if someone will help you during recovery. I would only get a small amount of post op foods/protein shakes before surgery because your tolerance may change. I can't remember needing more than that the early weeks post op Good Luck ♥️

Getting Ready for Surgery
Exciting! I appreciated having baby/feminine wipes to stay as clean as possible (could not shower immediately) and tons of nurse/doctor maybe touching you especially your arms/hands

First off thank you ❤️ I don't believe my journey is particularly inspirational and I promise that's not false modesty. I think my journey is just highly visible. I put a lot of content on here so that people can get a mediocre perspective to stay accountable to myself. I think a lot of journeys are similar to mine but I tend to post more. Plus i'm sort of middling in all aspects of WLS: I'm not very active with exercise but not totally sedentary either I'm careful with food but not hyper vigilant or super lax My weight loss has been moderate in terms of the curve or spectrum (bmi has been a 28 for a while) with small gains and losses on repeat I've experienced some complications that have not been super serious or trivial I'm not sure what stage you are in the process but I bet you'll blow me out of the water and I'll be on the sideline (with a salad and a donut) cheering you on ❤️
