  9. Hello everyone. I'm 2 years post-op and was sleeved on 01/06/2023. I'm at goal and have been for awhile. I just wanted to pop in and say that I have no regrets. For the first time in 20 years, I am HEALTHY. Bariatric surgery is just a tool though, you have to follow your plan to see results and you HAVE to work on the "head hunger" because that doesn't go away with surgery. However, if you do your part. You will be pleased with the results. It feels wonderful to be on the "other side" of weight loss and maintaining. Best of luck!

  15. I reached my goal weight in 2024 and I'm almost 2 years post surgery. While I still enjoy food, I'm happy that my life does not fully revolve around food. I'm happy to move more and make better food choices because it makes me FEEL better. My health was on the decline due to my obesity. Now I'm healthy and living my best life.
  16. Check with your Dr. There may be options to get you back on track and losing.
  17. I'm a 40 y/o mom of 3. HW 265, GW 150, CW 142. Sleeved January 2023. I loss my first 90 lbs within 6 months of being sleeved and maintained for another 6 months (without quite getting to goal). Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2024 I had some health issues (unrelated to the sleeve) and had to have a total hysterectomy. I turned to my old comfort of eating and gained 20 lbs in 2 months. My appetite came back with a vengeance and my head hunger was getting the best of me. In a moment of panic, I seen my Dr and she prescribed Zepbound. OMG, where has this drug been my whole life?! I loss the 20 lbs. I gained plus the rest of the weight I needed to lose to get to goal weight within 5 months. Unlike the sleeve, Zepbound also helps with the head hunger which is an issue for A LOT of us. It's truly a miracle drug! I was on Ozempic pre-surgery for diabetes and it did NOTHING for weight loss so I didn't expect much from Zep but turned out pleasantly surprised. Despite severe constipation in the beginning, my side effects are minimal and manageable. I feel like Zepbound + my gastric sleeve was a match made in heaven. My health is the best it's been in 20+ years. Diabetes gone, fatty liver gone, triglycerides were high and are now in a normal range. My life no longer revolves around food and for once I feel "normal." I maintain with 10mg every 10 days and it's been working perfectly.
  18. UPDATE. I reached my goal earlier this year. I had a few setbacks along the way but I'm now 5'5 and 145 lbs. No regrets. Everything happened in due time. I'm just updating for those that may find themselves in a similar situation. Sent from my SM-S926U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. It's really not all that uncommon. They are 2 different meds that work differently . I'm just not sure why she needs both though. Tirzepatide is wonderful all on its own. Sent from my SM-S926U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Thanks everyone! I haven't exercised in about 1 month so I have to get back into that. I'm sure it will help. I'm incredibly happy with my weight loss, I just really want to get to goal. Mostly because I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I have loss large amounts of weight in the past (pre-surgery) only to get 20 ish pounds to goal and fall off the wagon so now that I'm close to that point... I'm afraid of a repeat. Although I keep telling myself that this time is different.

  26. Awesome! You look great!
  27. Gastric sleeve on 01/06/23, Loss a significant amount of weight the first few months but only about 12 lbs in the last 2 months. I have less then 30 lbs to get to goal but I feel like this may take awhile. Any suggestions besides the obvious (consuming recommended protein, drinking water, counting calories, weighing/measuring food, exercise, etc.)
  28. I took Ozempic for about 2 years for diabetes. I loss some weight but the side effects were atrocious. It did help with my A1C though. Sent from my SM-G991U using BariatricPal mobile app
  29. Don't blend it because it makes it more foamy. Use a shaker bottle and wait a few min for the foam to dissipate. Sent from my SM-G991U using BariatricPal mobile app
  30. Hey! Any January 2023 sleevers still hanging out on this forum? How are you all doing?

  32. I've tried several meal delivery services and use them semi regularly (at least once a month). I've used HelloFresh, Blue Apron, Home Chef and Every Plate. Home Chef is by far my favorite but I liked them all except for Blue Apron. My only complaint would be the prep time which is why I like Home Chef the most as they have "fast" meals that cut down on the prep time.
