hi my bmi was 57.4 now it,s down to 53.1 during the six months, dietian classes i.ve lost 27lbs so far maybe more than that. haven,t weigh myself lately, hopeing to be banded in oct,the nurse call me an tried to insist that i have the bypass saying the band won,t help my diabetes, which i knew was a dam lie, i think she tried to do a last minutes change of mine. which i told her no, seven months ago i did,nt sign up for no bypass,whichi,m not knocking it,s just not for me, my insurance covers both.i did my homework, but last week she really threw me for a loop. so i got on the phone to the doctors office an repeated what whoever calltold them it,s my choice. i was so pissed, for what whomever tried to pull. i,ve heard of people doing that kind of last minute stuff all the time.good luck on your journey.

:thumbs_up:today i went to my evaluation today oct,2 an pass with flying colors did not have to answer a whole lot of questions, only the one,s he sent in the mail. maybe 20 questions,that he had all arrange in similar order, an paid him $150.00 an was on my way, back to waterbury, i went to newhaven for the evaluation. me an my daughter.monday i have to take another part of my stress test with my pcp, so i hope everything goes okay. wish me luck, good luck to everyone on your new journey in life. sil:thumbup:

i would like to say go through with the surgery, for you an your kids, because they will need you,so much, to be a stronger an healthier person, when a man do wrong like cheating they always leave the kids behind, to go start all over again, well some do. with someone else kids that are not their kids, so stay strong an god bless you on your new journey in life the kids ,

call your insurance, an see what are their requirements for lapband surgery,i had to go to dietian classes for 6 months. depends on your insurance.my evaluation is oct,6. if i had known i was suppose to schedule it it would have been done early,my pcp just did xray, cardio,stress test, good luck on your journey.

hello today sept,26th. some nurse from yale university call me this morning trying to convince me to have the bypass surgery. she lied an said it wouldn,t help my diabetes. i guess she thought i was gullable to fall for her crap.it took me 6 months to get here,because she stated my bmi was too high, saying she recomended the bypass i said no,my insurance don,t require bmi. just that it,s medically necesary, from my pcp. so i call them back to say someone call my house talking about i have to have the bypass, the lady on the phone say,s it,s my choice. she says it happens all the time.i almost cried. but i gotten everything straighten out. sorry for the long reply had to vent. good luck everyone on your journey.

:crying::cursing:today sept,25th yale university call some lady told me over the phone about my surgery she tried to push the bypass on me, i almost cried. this person gonna tell me about my insurance blue care family plan, she said you gonna have the bypass because it,s gonnacure your diabetes, i said no i want the lapband, then i told her they switch my insurance, then she said that,s a different story i told her they cover both insurance also which i already knew, she gonna tell me i have to have a certain bmi,which was 59, now its 50, so i call the insurance company they say if it,s medical necesary an have my doctor write a letter, an i,m good to go. she had me so friggin upset, to say i don,t qualify i call the office back an said someone call me saying i don,t qualify for lapband, the nice lady said it,s your choice. that made me feel a whole lot better. an said i will have the surgery sometimes in oct, so that,s sound so good.i just had to vent. can,t believe she tried to push the bypass on me, like i was stupid.my heart really droped for a minute.thanks for listening. sil.:thumbup:

i don,t think so my insurance switch, so i,m still in the network you have to find another one, in your network. call the insurance company. they will assign you one. when mine change i call an ask do they still cover the surgery they said yes,everything was ok. good luck.

hang in their you only have three more days to go, i know you can do it, i,m not banded yet hopely in oct, don,t know if my doc will require a pre-op. but so far on my own i have lost 27lbs, i had to do the six months dietian classes, have my evaluation test 9/24 wish me luck. i,m rooting for you.
