My biggest challenge has been what my psychologist calls self sabotage. Sometimes we are subconciously more afraid of being skinny than we are of being overweight. Here is a great article that may give you some insight if you are having these same issues:
Self-Sabotage: Reasons Not to Lose Weight | Suite101.com
Best decision I have ever made to start my life over on May 27, 2008. I have struggled to lose weight for over 20 years. I am losing the weight slowly but it is still nice to see the scale every morning a little lighter than the day before. My doctor suggested a slow approach which in the long run will give me better results. I was a Yo-Yo dieter so this has been an awesome experience for me. I am almost midway to my goal and if it takes me another year I am fine with that.......after all it took me more than two years to get where I was.
Please let me know if you start up this meeting again. I am very interested and have a couple of friends in Katy that would also like to go.

Thanks
I had my surgery on the 22nd and asking the question, did I do the wrong thing? Well today is the 27th and I think I am past the second guessing. I realize now that I have been given an opportunity to change my life and this is a GOOD thing, in fact, this is a GREAT thing! Looking forward to looking as normal as I feel inside!
