hi the same here tquad64, unless you want people to know, it,s noones business, only told my bf, an my two children my 19, year old son, an my 18 year old daughter, they are with me all the way,maybe after surgery i will tell my sisters,&other family members but i see no reason to go blurting it out all over the place, i,m a private person anyway.unless they ask i ain,t telling noone.something people have the tendency to judge. my psych told me i should shout it from the rooftop.i,m like yeah right.it,s up to the personwho,s having the surgery regardless.

no haven,t got a date yet but i,m waiting on my pulmonary clearance. i took the test last wednesday, the nurse says it takes a week. then fax them to doctor bell office, his nurse will call me for a informative session, i don,t know if it,s one on one with the doctor or what. i know this waiting is something else.my process started in april. good luck everyone.

my psych test was oct,2 he sent in the mail about 20 questions. for me to fill out went to his office for about 15 minutes, paid him 150.00 an was aprove. even though he shock me when he held up a picture of himself. my doctor is his doctor he was a ryn patient 7 years ago. he looks great.

hi i have community health network, i,m not banded yet but my pcp recomended dr robert bell at yale newhaven hospital, you have to do a 6 months dietian classes, an pre-op tests.check out the list of doctors on obesity help.com they have ct doctors on that site. dr duffy also in newhaven. that takes that insurance. good luck if you decide to take this journey.

I NEVER HAD ONE DONE BEFORE WHAT AN EXPERIENCE, THE LAST PART I HAD TO BLOW FAST IN AN OUT AS FAST AS I COULD, SHE SAID I DID GOOD.I HAD TO STICK A TUBE IN MY MOUTH AN BLOW. i feel you girl i have a pulminary test for tomorrow,that will be my last one, but during all that time during the 6 months dietian classes, i didn,t know i could have had all my pre-ops done eariler, i was waiting for the surgeon office to call an schedule everything but thats not how its work.the friday after i finish all my classes. i decided to call the office she percieved to tell me all the stuff that i needed done. if only i knew to do it ahead of time. an not wait on them.things could have happen sooner. but anyway good luck an i hope the pcp can schedule you mine did, shes rooting for me, i had to do the chestxray, ekg, stress test two parts,now pulminary, hope things go as planed, you can do this, sil

hi i,m from ct not banded yet,lost 27lbs, had to do 6 months supervised dietian classes, last test is wednesday 15 for pulminary, hope i pass then i will come in for a session with doctor. my surgery is going to be at yale newhaven hospital by dr. robert bell. you guys can check out the obesity help web site they have a list of states to go to ct is on the list also all the doctors, hospitals.good luck on yall journey.they have lots of comments about the doctors.sil

hi my 6 months is up sept 3. i have one more test to do, that app, is wednesday 15, for a pulminary clearance hope i pass,then the nurse said i will come in for a session with the doctor, keeping my fingers cross. congrats on your surgery.

I had a appointment with my pcp on sept 11, for a chest xray, also a ekg, on sept 19, i went for a stress test, where they give you a shot in your iv, to slow your heartrate then you get on a traedmill. an walk, let me tell you i have never in my life been on a treadmill,it was like watching a newborn baby walk,what a shame,i do exercise but it,s on a stationary bike, let me tell you i was pitiful then they speed it up, but she said i did good.i hit the mark. you has to go a certain speedi guest how funny, then the 2 part i had to get a shot in myhand for a vien i had to lay down for about fifteen to twenty min,so the machine could take pictures of my heart to see if i have any blockage, with my arteries, i seen the pictures how awesome was that an they were close up. what an experience i had, i was laughing at myself an the treadmill. if only you could have seen me, so on oct 15 i go back for a pulminary test i think that,s when you blow in a tube, an then the nurse says she will bring me in for a session how nice is that, well the only thing is if i would have known to have my doctor do all doses tests sooner i would have been done stupid me i,m sitting here waiting for the surgeon office to call me to see what was needed when i could have had everything done already, oh well can,t cry over spilt milk maybe i needed to wait who knows. it was for a reason.lesson learned.:thumbup::tt2:hoping to be a smashing pumpkin, if not i will let you know.
